If you notice, he did much of his damage against the best defensive rookie in the NBA in Winslow as well.

Looks like his last bucket came with 4:28 left in the game. Was he shut down by the Heat after that or he wasn't on the floor for whatever reason?

Towns is on pace for 132 points, haha. Obviously it will not hold, but God, he is so talented.

Re: Rookie Discussion Thread
Towns just got triple teamed, haha. He got an assist, but he is getting doubled every time.
In the first seven minutes of the game he has FIFTEEN POINTS. 7-7 from the field!
Guys, I am losing my mind, at the moment.

Apologies for the triple post, but this is absurd. Sam Mitchell should be fired on the spot.

If he wasn't on the Raptors Norman Powell would be a rotation player for someone. Hell I'm confident he'd be starting on the Thunder. He's not a bad shooter, and his defense is absolutely fantastic, Tony Allen like.

uh sorry. jokic (who didnt even make your second team) is playing better than winslow this year.
edit: the more I look at the stats, I realize its not even close.
jokic has better ppg, rpg, apg, spg, bpg, and shoots better from the field, the line and on 3 pointers. also does all this in about 30% less minutes per game.
and then as if that wasnt enough...jokic PER of 22. winslow around 8.

Not sure the point of comparing those two, Jokic is not a SF, Winslow is. The all rookie teams are usually picked pretty close by position. If not even Myles Turner has a better case than both to be in the first team.

Pretty much this, plus Winslow's actually contributing 30mpg as part of a playoff rotation. He's helping us win games. He's never gonna win the stats battle, most of what he does doesn't show up in the box score.
But since we adjusted our offense and stopped trying to make him shoot corner three's he's averaged 7.7pts 7.1rebs in 31mpg while shooting 50FG% in his past 18 games.

While I don't necessarily agree with this, positions actually have no baring on All-Rookie Teams. With that said, wonder what the All-Rookie teams will look like.
First Team:
KAT
Prozingis

Russell
Jokic
Second Team:

Mudiay

Johnson

Is it really a better case ? I mean right now ? Maybe it will be but right now Jokic showed more.

Re: Rookie Discussion Thread
Towns has really been filling up the assist column lately, the past 10 games he's averaging 3.3 APG. I'm not surprised by this, the kid has very impressive vision and he knows how to exploit double teams.

as already mentioned positions do not count when dealing with all rookie teams.
secondly, neither does team success. so getting to play for miami doesnt give winslow bonus points or anything.
jokic is far out playing winslow this year.

Mentioned by who? You? If Jokic makes the all rookie team, he will have to beat out Porzingis.
