We're not entitled to anything, a 10pt win is still a win.

No matter the age they are professional basketball players who also lead a bunch of young guns who need to be shown the ropes & guided the right way. A win is a win, yes.... But you gotta handle business proficiently, especially against these weak clubs to set an example of how we do it here in Miami. And if we're gonna go on a championship run in the next 2-3 season we gotta start building those habits now. We have to show our hunger! Wasn't the statements about not playing down to our competition about this very thing!?

I've been a Spo supporter since he got here. Even last season i had the mans back. He has been so disappointing this year and have finally seen what many have been seeing for a long time.

Yeah we gotta take care of business and we did... 10pt win.

We fell asleep, they made a run and then we turned it back around and got it back up to 16 before garbage time.

You still won your bet 3bb be happy :)

right now i'm thinking long term. I'm thinking about the long run, the big goal.......CHAMPIONSHIP! I don't want us slippin'. I want us to build the habits of a true championship team. We have a gang of new players, many that have not sniffed the finals. We need to prepare them all and it all starts now!

i'm the same w/ the youth team i coach. i'm never satisfied w/ what we are doing because i see the bigger picture, the ultimate goal.
If u don't want 2b here, the way things work, u don't like it, then don't b here. U have 2 stand on something. If Miami ain't standing on something, they become alot of these organizations trying 2 find their identity. This is the culture, bro -Wade

You should be thankful we're not Warriors fans or we'd have to put up with crap like this.

A 3 point win? Combined with what Luke Walton did earlier in the year and I don't get how they haven't fired Kerr yet.

The fact that he doesn't know, at this stage of his career, is the reason why he can't figure sh*t out.

All that talent and you continue to be clueless.

Hasn't anybody sat this this guy down, be honest w/ him & tell him he needs to care about defense and to be a team player?!?! :nonono:

He signed a 5 year max with a rebuilding team, I'm not sure what he expected.

To think he was right up there with James and Wade back when he made WCF with Nuggets where they lost 4-2 to eventual champs Lakers ... And then it was mostly down after he joined Knicks. They had what, 1 good season since he arrived?

His defense improved and he's not just looking for his own offense anymore, he's kinda a point forward. But maybe he should get back to chucking because that team is really bad.

I've just never been a fan. He is one of 'those' players. Much like Beasley but far more skilled and not as clueless

I had enough w/ Melo when he got jealous of Lin's popularity - i thought that was one of the worst displays of ego and selfishness i have ever seen!! :nonono: Lin could have thrived there and helped the Knicks but Melo was a big factor in pushing him out. All because he wanted all the shine & glory & didn't want some asian guy stealing all that lime light.

As far as i'm concerned he deserves everything he gets.

Again we got down by 3, called a timeout, got pissed and and proceeded to get the lead back up to 16 in no time flat. As Tim_Hardaway posted even the Warriors almost lost to the Sixers. I just can't see anything to get upset about last night. It wasn't like our first meeting where we almost last, lost night the game was never in doubt. Our guys did their job.

I'm with 3ball on this one, it's about developing habits. Those little slips against a good team and we lose, have to get the team in a winner mindset for the future.

Sorry that we feel that we were supposed to win by more than 10 to a team with less than 10 wins thus far.

We are in the process of being a true contender and indeed we need to build those habits of a great team! You can't just be satisfied w/ a 10pt win vs the 76ers & then justify it simply as 'NBA teams make runs' - it's the frickin 76ers for f's sakes. It doesn't matter how other teams performed against them we must take care of business...... if our aim is a championship we must build the habit of being aggressive.

I understand we are not contending this season but it doesn't make it ok not to be HUNGRY. We must show Hunger, passion, desire & motivation. Look at Celtics, this team has no business being above us and 3rd no less......but they show all those qualities and come out w/ a hunger that helps them defeat teams.

Where the f*ck is our hunger. I don't see Spo motivating this team much at all. W/ that said i have us blowing out 76ers the way i expected last game. No way we let them hang around this time.

Do you know what arrogant means? for one you spelled it wrong so you may not understand the full meaning of the word.

Arrogance is losing by 10pts and then saying something like "we're just playing w/ them, we know we can win by 40 but we didn't want to". Me saying we should have blown this damn team by 20-30pts is acknowledging we are 50 times the better team in the match up & we should play like it. Especially if we have ambitions to be legit contenders in a future surge for a Championship. That is not arrogant, that is understanding we are the better team and to simply play like it!

I'm hungry as f*ck! i'm not sure if anybody else is. And i hope Spo will motivate and inspire this team when we are going for a title run. We need to light a fire under this teams a*s. We wasted over half a damn season playing soft, retreating when teams show fight and come back from being down.....I'm sorry but i'm sick of all that sh*t. I like Celtics mentality - fighting in each and every game, night in and night out even if your not the best team on the court w/ the ebst players! I don't like satisfaction just because we won a damn game. It's more than wins, it' building and developing qualities and habits that can help make us GREAT!!!!

While a valid point, you have to remember the context :

The Celtics have a bunch of no-bodys (in NBA terms), mainly role players that haven't a won thing, never got a national headline and never a won a playoff series.

We have an entire lineups (except Hassan) that won like 89 all-stars appearances, won championships, went deep in the playoffs multiple times, seen it all and got the money and fame.

Obviously it's much easier mentally for the first team to show up hungry against Philly then the second team, it's part of being a team of veterans winners - it has advantages too, but in this case it's understandable if we don't come with fire against crappy teams. As long as we get the job done - you have to take the W and move on.

And BTW - that's why having our young core playing part in important for us, they bring that hunger we need.

pointing out my grammar mistake. really mature. you are a poster boy for arrogance. keyboard warrior that thinks heat players dont care about winning, that they dont know what it takes to be a great team, to play great bball, to (like you said)build and develop qualities and habits that can help make us GREAT. oh, they know, they care and they are doing their best.

they were a better team. they won. and actually it was a 15+ win, philly just scored some insignificant points in garbage time. but no, they have to please some spoiled douchey arrogant grammar nazi and win by 40.
