What the **** do we do with Bosh?
First off let me admit I love Bosh, and appreciate his contributions to this team and professionalism throughout his tenure with the Miami Heat & welcome his number retired at the AAA, but since he has been restricted by his medical condition, we've had a myriad of changes that has resulted in recent uber-pleasurable performances from the Heat since the Big 3 era. Most of these changes came in the frontcourt, with the acquisition of Joe Johnson, Luol Deng at PF, and Amare/Whiteside.
One thing noticeable, is that Miami has been the best rebounding team in the league since then, regardless of competition, and the offense has been more robust in general. We've added playmaking in the frontcourt with JJ, while Luol Deng has fully embraced his natural position at PF, and as a result, has galvanized a faster, more efficient pace of basketball. The combination of Amar'e and Whiteside have manned the center position extremely well, on both sides of the ball. So the question is: how do we incorporate and manage Bosh back into the lineup when (if) he is cleared by doctors/the Heat?
Let us assume that Deng will continue to log heavy minutes at the 4 at 33-35 MPG while Amar'e+Whiteside= 48 MPG... where does it leave Bosh?

Re: What the **** do we do with Bosh?
I don't understand how more talent could be a bad thing. You do realize that Deng has the mileage of a 35 year old correct?
As well as we've played our schedule has been soft and we're literally a Deng injury away from being completely F'ed.
Think about it, if Deng went down what the hell would we do? Spam McBob? Make Justise play 40 minutes of PF?
If Bosh comes back I'd remove Stat from the rotation. I'd make Bosh the starting center basically replacing Amare in that role. Hassan would still get 28-30mpg off of the bench while Bosh would get the remaining 18-20 center minutes.
This allows us to keep the status quo while also bringing Bosh back along slowly.
Then during the playoffs I'd make adjustments based on matchups.

idk, he'll come back and they'll figure it out. Since he's not coming back this season, we could speculate on what he would mean with potentially JJ and Deng gone.

We don't know if he'll return this season or the next. He's been in high spirits and he's working out with the coaching staff. So clearly he's not on his death bed, he replied to a fan on twitter saying that he feels great. I think the challenge is finding a doctor to clear him to convince the Heat to let him return this year because as our team always does we tend to err on the side of caution.

Regardless, we'll just have to adjust. Bosh too, and hopefully we don't lose any production from any key guys. We barely have anything figured out now, I don't think we need/should worry about how Bosh fits into anything

Re: What the **** do we do with Bosh?
This is a good question. I dunno, I feel like starting him would be a big mistake. But at the same time playing him against the other team's bench with Dragic would just slow that unit down.
Whatever his role, I imagine he'll still have huge restrictions. But maybe he can play 20 min a game interchanging between being the PF or C when Wade is on the floor. I fear messing up something that's working, so while I'm happy he's doing better I can't say I'm not nervous about him messing with team chemistry if he comes back.

Re: What the **** do we do with Bosh?
I would rather bench him and start Whiteside tho... but I think benching Joe and Wade would be a good idea too so I'm sitting in my own pool.
Whiteside didn't just become rejuvenated from coming off the bench, he's playing 30+ mins and facing whatever the opposing team gives him. The more consistent variable seems to be his and Dragic's play/demeanor without Bosh, dating from last season. More minutes, more touches and a bigger role seem to play more of a factor than coming off the bench. I think Bosh could adjust better being that energy guy off the bench

Re: What the **** do we do with Bosh?
Will be a welcome "problem" and I like QUIZ's idea.. we are fooling ourselves to even think that we're better off without Bosh?
Knicks (without aflo), Bulls (without Butler), Phoenix (without everyone), 76ers x 2 (without literally everyone). I don't know how many playoff bound teams that don't go 5-0 during this stretch and out-rebound them all. I love that we're winning games we're supposed to win though (it seems easy but we haven't been good at it).
We should get back to this topic after the next 3 pretty tough away games. It should tell us a little more about where we are as a team.

In what universe do you bench Chris Bosh, Dwyane Wade, and Joe Johnson for Whiteside, Green, and Justise?
I've heard some out there ideas but that doesn't seem remotely realistic or logical for that matter.
I just don't understand where you're coming from with that, not even a little.

Depending on his health he's back to the 5 taking Amare's minutes it looks like spending some minutes at the 4 to continue giving Whiteside the minutes we need him to have. I have to admit though it's not the best fit, trade for Durant??

What I don't understand is you seem to have no faith or confidence in Wade/Johnson, but you trust players like Green (who has been shooting sub 40% for months now) and Lance Stephenson.
If you could trade Joe for Lance right now, would you?

Not about trust, just fit. I kno who's who. I have plenty of faith in Wade, benching not about demotion

On paper it looked like Bosh and Whiteside should fit very well together, but what we're seeing in retrospect is that it didn't work that well. Maybe partly due to play in a slower pace, but I think it's more then that. Very hard to have two 7 footers playing together in todays league, and both need their touches.

To put my view in perspective I believe that a team built around Wade/Bosh two man ball would still beat a team centered around Goran pushing the pace and our guys minus Wade/Bosh sharing the ball.
I still feel that way, now obviously that isn't the overall formula for sucess but over a span of 7 games I trust Wade and Bosh to take it up to a super star level.

All Stars, HOFer's, max contracts, etc., and in the light Winslow/Deng is our best pairing, Green as well one of our more constant positives. Wade/Bosh are great closers and all around players but not great fits next to our other core pieces.
We can go into why, how, who, what, when, where but that's a waste of time. I'm fine with my opinion
