I'm not trying to poke the bear here, but isn't this the range of what most fans expected for the Kings this year? A couple spots out of the playoffs, or pushing for the 8th seed in the best case scenario.
Improve the depth of the team and start to make a run at the playoffs in the West.
McLemore should improve, WCS will be good, and Cousins is surrounded by a reasonably young core. Get the coaching shiz figured out and things should continue to look up. This will be the first time a Cousins team has more than 30 wins.

I expected effort. This team gives crap effort game in and game out. They could easily be a better defensive team by just trying.

On the bright side, better to have an effort/focus/execution problem than a talent problem. Hopefully whoever replaces Karl will crack the riddle.

I stopped watching before the end of the first. The level of play from both teams was just plain unwatchable. Didn't help that it sounded like a library in there.

Re: Kings @ Pelicans | Mar 7, 2016
Disgusting result. Kings fans don't deserve this type of torture.
Kings fans don't demand or ask much in return. That's in our nature. All we want to see is EFFORT! If we lose a game but played our butts off, we accept this type of result. But when we see these players, who are making 7 and 8 figure salaries, mind you, aren't putting the sufficient effort on a consistent basis, it is completely UNACCEPTABLE. PERIOD.
Lets face it, most of our guys have mailed it in for this season. What do we do about it? Do we still give the time and day for this team? Do we stick it through and endure the unnecessary torture? I have to be honest, I did not watch the game but I saw the boxscore and read comments in three separate Sacramento Kings websites and they echoed the same thing. This team is playing like crap and still make the same/basic mistakes over and over again. At this point, we need to stop pointing fingers at Karl. Yes, he is a stubborn bastard that has an ego the size of a mountain and a lot of the blame does originate from him (rightfully so) but another good portion of the blame does come from the players too. They need to look themselves in the mirrors and have some sort of reality check of some sorts. They are self-entitled, care about their own numbers than the team, etc.
This whole thing is just a mess.

The worst part of all this is that Denver is now only a half game back from us and NO is only one game behind us. We'd be looking at the 8th pick right now looking like it's either 8 seed or 8 pick this year.

8 Seed has essentially washed away. The team has quit simply knowing major changes will occur this summer, Karl quit long ago, it's just a long struggle to the end of the season. We all love Vlade but we need to get a real GM(find a job where we can keep Vlade around), get a coach who actually has a system that builds around our best player(what a shock Karl's fast paced offense doesn't suit with Cousins). All I want to see for the rest of the season is WCS playing as much as possible, and effort(who am I kidding this won't be happening).

Yeah I don't think we have any chance at the 8 seed either but it's still technically in reach if we go on a run to end the season. They touched on it in the post game about Willie only getting five minutes yesterday and that's just ridiculous. He's probably the best defender we have to throw at Anthony Davis yet he only gets 5 minutes. I know Karl doesn't play young guys which is ridiculous in and of itself but it's borderline crazy how little time WCS gets and how inconsistent his minutes are.

Vlade or whoever decided to stay the course maybe have missed their chance to get this team into the playoffs. The perfect opportunity to possibly energize the team via a coaching change was weeks ago. It may not have worked but we continue to get more of the same old philosophy of run, run, run that hasn't worked all year. Oh well.

Exactly, very ridiculous that the run, run, run continues to be the thing when we have Cousins. Watching Cousins play way more on the perimeter rather than the post is so disappointing.
