Anyway, how about we go down to 10 teams and get 3 replacement managers ? We can do a separate draft for the new guys after putting players from all 4 (or 5?) teams into a single pile. Or we can stay at our current numbers with 5 replacement managers with them taking over teams as is.

We can give our current folks until this weekend to check in before we move on. WDYT? I'll float the idea of openings in a couple of my leagues to get some back ups in any case.

If that is ok, then can someone with Admin privileges update the thread by adding the checkin deadline?

If we manage to get 3 new managers, another option instead of a new guys draft would be to have them pick 3 out of the 5 teams. The remaining 2 would just go into the FA pool & the prospect pool for the full draft.

We'll just need to complete the FA draft (10 picks) before the season starts as the prospect draft can go beyond MLB opening day.

I think that is because those teams were carrying players on their DL when last season ended. You'll have to drop players to get down to the max allowed (25) before the rosters can be put into Yahoo.
