eekk that's called the Rondo assist, passing for no reason other than to get an assist.. until somebody defends the ball on the fast break the ball keeps moving to the basket

Just like what stu said in that sequence, you score when no one is stopping the ball, dont pass for the sake of passing

Just say that you have a bone to pick with D'Angelo and get it over with. All these subtle pointless digs are useless.

He should at least pick digs that make sense.

No bone to pick, just a pattern than I'm see with both Randle and D'Angelo. I just prefer how Magic ran the break. I guess I have to get use to this James Harden brand. Randle is a bigger offender of this, he prefers to go coast to coast with is head down, instead of passing to open teammates way ahead of him. Why would his teammates run, if they know that they are not going to see the ball?

I see the issues with Randle but I don't see any reason why you want to throw Russell into the mix other than to take a cheap shot unless you have the attention span of a fly. The freaking highlight play from Sunday's win over the warriors was basically Russell giving the ball up on a break which lead to Huertas' touch pass and a dunk and don't bring up Magic everytime you are confronted about your bias, that doesn't make you look more OG than anyone else.

Perhaps I get so infuriated with seeing Randel do it so every single time, that I don't want it to become contagious. Also I'm sensing that D'Angelo would rather shoot than pass. He want to be Steph Curry. He would rather lead the NBA in scoring than lead the NBA in assist.

That's the problem. Don't sense things, your sense is bad.

Is it possible at all possible that in this case, you may be too infatuated with D'Angelo, that it is your sense that is bad? just asking.

You say that like it's a bad thing, this team needs scoring.... And you do realize that playing point guard is not his natural position? he didn't lead his team in assists in college, he played a lot of off ball SG... you have two solid ball handlers in Russell and Clarkson, there's more than enough BBall to be shared and seeing how it's his (Russell's) rookie year I'd say he's doing just fine but since you tossed out Magic you know he didn't lead the Lakers in assists per game his rookie season either but he was third in scoring behind Kareem and Silk...

Difference is Russell doesn't have seasoned vets like Kareem (my vote for GOAT) or Jamaal Wilkes to be setting up with assists, he's got other rookies and second year men who are learning the game just as he is so please stop with the Magic comparisons because their circumstances are not even in the realm of being close to the same

No, I actually think that it's would be a good thing if D'Angelo leads the NBA in score. I have said in the past that I see him as a great passing shooting guard and that I want him to shoot more. I was just explaining why he may call his own number on the fastbreak instead of passing it to an open teammate. When you can shoot like he can and score so effortlessly, and with all the accolades that come with scoring, it would be hard resist shooting and scoring.
