Magic fans have always been at each others throats. Why do you think I created Hedo is gonna prove ya'll wrong back in 2009 during their Finals run.
Because, Magic fans are NEVER satisfied.

There's no reason to be irrationally scared of Hennigan making moves just to make a 2-3 year tenure coach happy. They're more than likely not going to do that. Geezuz wtf is everyones problem?
To be honest you're incredibly condescending when addressing people on here so when someone does it back, it's kind of surprising your response is "take your pill", which I don't really see what that means anyway. I can't imagine you thought Skiles had nothing to do with bringing in these two? It doesn't really matter I guess. We don't have much to look forward to now till the summer to see if we use any of this cap space.
This Blue and White guy has too limited b-ball knoweldge to actually participate in quality basketball discussions. That's why he keeps reverting to personal attacks and sarcastic replies so he could cover his ignorance.

I didn't say he had nothing to do with it, I said I doubt they brought them in just to make Skiles happy.j-ragg wrote:Blue_and_Whte wrote:j-ragg wrote:That's your justification? It's like you just defend Skiles at any cost. Btw didn't you say I was on your ignore list or something? Oh well at least you sounded cool when you said it bud.

Regardless of your claim being true or not, What the hell is the problem with brining in vets with more than 5 years of playoff experience between them all with Skiles when we're (or were) trying to make the playoffs? We have zero long term commitments to those two, while putting us in a position to go after a big name free agent in the offseason, and the only thing people have the capacity to see is "ZOMG They did this to make Skiles happy." Nobody knows whats going on behind closed doors so people immediately default to accusing Skiles of something, all because he wasn't the coach THEY wanted. It just gets old and tired.
If this were any other coach and we made this particular trade people would see it for what it was and not have issues, but because its Skiles, "HE MUST BE RUNNING THE SHOW"
EDIT: Correction. The Bucks last made the post season under Kidd with Ersan on the team. The amount of PO experience, remains.

Makes me laugh when I see people saying that skiles was pushing for this trade
Only few team asked for Harris and Detroit had the best offer (playoff push and cap flexibility)

Cap flexibility was probably the primary motivation.... after that.... filling in positions of need.... maybe 3rd, plugging in players that are familiar with the coach and the coach is familiar with them (and to me that was just a plus to it all) in the hopes of making a late season push at the end of the season.
Correct.

I've forgotten more about basketball than you'll ever know. I'm pissing off the noobies, I guess I should tone it down. Keep it coming though.
Your arrogance is almost as big as your ignorance I see.

There is definitely talent on this team. It was 19-13 at one point... The problem is that when teams have adjusted to the scheme since then and the coaching staff hasn't figured out a way for these guys to fight against it. Its a young team, and they won't naturally have the answers. That's when coaching is pivotal.
When your coach says he's "Run out of answers" during the January losing streak. You should be alarmed about the direction of the team.
Again, goes back to lack of talent and experience. The players can't seem to overcome teams adjusting to take away strenghts, that signals major lack of talent. Teams with real talent can overcome but we lack the talent and mental perseverance to do so. Skiles is no genious but he has run out of answers because our talent is bad.
i would say lack of experience, but not necessarily talent. But that is where coaching comes into play. If you have a PG that can run PnR but not shoot very well yet, why not call plays for him in a PnR rather than have him in a corner as a spot up shooter? Find the best plays that work for the talent you have, rather than force the players to run your specific plays whether they are good at them or as is often the case they are not good with those plays.
And Skiles is chipping away at the mental side of the young players now too, as they will freeze up, trying to avoid making a mistake instead of just playing, knowing that with any mistake, they could sit on the sidelines for the rest of the game.
How often do you see this team post up any player other than Vuc. If you have a jump shooting center why not try to post up the guards or forwards once in a while.

what Magic player other than Vuc and Nicholson are capable of posting up to any level of moderate consistent success?

So true. We are severely lacking in that regard, which is another reason why I don't like Ersan taking minutes at the 4. When things slow down we need a guy like Nicholson to be able to create opportunities down low.
Favorite Magic players of all time:
1. Dennis Scott
2. Andrew Nicholson
3. Anthony "no-neck" Johnson
