Re: 2016 Draft and NCAA Conference Tourney Week
Maybe it's still too early, but, up to last year, this guy (David Kay) used to be the most accurate draft predictor. Last year I think Draftexpress and Chad Ford were the best predictors by far. Not sure how well he ranked.

Yeah, probably bigger likely bust than Bender, but that's likely why he has dropped. But with the big drop off after 2 and then 3, who knows who people will like after that.

For those of you who have watched Bender some, how would he fit next to Len? I realize we aren't really all that concerned with fit over BPA at this point, but long term? He seems pretty quick/agile so I'm inclined to say it would work, but I really haven't seen enough of him at this point to convince myself.

The problem is that he does not play, he plays few few minutes for Maccabi Tel Aviv.
It is gonna be really important his workouts before the draft...like with Porzingis last year.

Yea, I guess that's one of the reasons I have been leaning towards other players even if we're picking at three. It's worked out well with Porzingis but drafting a guy that high without much to go on is a little scary.
I've been trying to watch a little more of Marquese Chriss since I've seen his name mentioned here recently and I really like his game. Not with our pick (unless maybe we fall to 6-7) but I'd be fine taking him with the WAS pick.

Re: 2016 Draft and NCAA Conference Tourney Week
I'm starting to think McD might pass on Bender at 3 or trade the pick if it's not top two. Partially because Bender probably doesn't come over for a year and McD probably feels pressure to win asap if he wants to keep his job.

He is gonna play in the NBA if he is high pick.
I posted this info last week...
But there are questions as to whether Bender will enter the 2016 NBA draft. Nikola Vujcic, a former European legend who serves as general manager for Maccabi and Bender's guardian, says the prospect will only be lured by a high lottery pick.
"We're not thinking that far, but Dragan will enter the draft if he gets a top-three commitment. Maybe top-five. Maybe he will do like Dario Saric—get drafted and return to Europe to develop. Dragan is excited about his future, but he needs to prove himself in the Euroleague," Vujcic told Bleacher Report.

He will be in the NBA next year if he is in the Top 5 for sure. Like a ton of young players with great upside in Europe he has a long contract, but it is easy to pay a buy out to be in the NBA (like Hezonja last year).
The most important thing for Bender to pay a buyout is to be a Top pick in the draft...because the money on that rookie contract would be higher than what they make in Europe ( not like Bogdan Bogdanovic for example)

Well that article doesn't really say he will be in the nba if he gets drafted, just that he will enter the draft if he gets a top 3 or possibly 5 commitment. It's also a pretty old article from September. Interesting read though. I hadn't realized this:
I've been practicing with Maccabi on and off since I was 14 years old under David Blatt. I learned a lot.

Yeah, I know that they did not say that specifically, but with a big salary on mind (Top 5 pick) it is very likely that he will agree with his future team in the NBA to come over next season like any other rookie.

I would love to get Bender and Korkmaz

Potential, bb IQ and good characters. Just what Suns need.
What people see in Skal? He average almost as many fouls as rebounds. Seems to have low bb IQ and is relatively old.

Chriss and Washington hung in there with #8 ranked Oregon, and were down only 2 with a little over 30 seconds to play, but they ended up losing it by six. Chriss was leading scorer though with 19, including 2 3's, and also had 5 boards, 3 blocks and a steal. http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/boxscore?gameId=400870722

Bender is interesting. I watched his videos on draftexpress and he is definitely talented but there was one where they interviewed him and it really sounded like he lacks confidence. I realize he is young but there wasnt a lot of fire to him. Seems very passive.

Re: 2016 Draft and NCAA Conference Tourney Week
Chriss is super raw. I think he'll stay and work on his court awareness and rebounding problems.
He's super athletic and his shooting touch looks smooth as hell. Everything else needs help.

How weak is this draft when Ingram is still considered a lock for no.2

17 and 7 and 41% from 3 is pretty good. When you can shoot that well from 3 and have that size and are putting up those #s as a freshman, that's not bad.
But yeah, it's also because the draft sucks. Huge drop off after him. Bad game tonight but yesterday he had a great game.
He has shot under 40% overall in 4 of his last 5 though so not good.

White non-athletic player= seems to have good bbiq
Black athletic player = seems to have low bbiq

Id be super disappointed if we ended up with Bender and Korkmaz.
Bender is a total questionmark and averaging 4/2 for maccabi which as a team is as bad as it has ever been.
Porzingis does not even look all that good anymore.
Skal is still 19, hardly old. He was considered the #1 pick coming into the season, he outplayed Towns in sone youth matchups, he is 7' with a 7'2 wingspan and 35" vertical plus a beautiful jumper.
His last game he had 18/9/2 with 6 blocks in 25 minutes vs LSU.
He could be a better Myles Turner realistically.
A stretch 4 with a lot of rim protector potential.
He is an easy pick if he drops to the Wizards pick but that is a pipe dream.

He didn't say that. You are the one stating generalizations. And not necessary to insinuate anyone is a fool.

Maybe it's just bad timing but every time I watch Jaylen Brown I come away thoroughly unimpressed. I think Dunn and Murray are playing the best of the consensus top-7/8 prospects.

Did you watch the Providence game? What's up with that guy Ben Bentil? He had a monster game and it looks like he's had quite a few of them.
