With Okafor's season ending injury someone can get his spot in All rookie first team or he is secure (despite few games and bad team results)?

2020 DPOY (the year when the league stops playing defense)

On a serious note, he has challenged a lot of shots inside 6th, 8th in the league at 6.5dfga and held opponents to -6.5% lower than their season average fg% inside 6ft.

you forgot to mention that Curry was 2 years older.

What you should have said was that it is unrealistic for Russell to improve as much as Curry did.

Don't think he was in line to make it ahead of kat , Porzingis or jokic

He would have gotten it ahead of Jokic simply because no one seems to pay any attention to him

I'm a Nuggets fan and I love Jokic but, at this point, he can't be ahead to a 17 points, 7 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 block guy.

If you're talking about Jokic he was drafted 2nd round of 2014.

Jokic plays 20 mpg and averages 10/6. Same argument for him as I had last year for the other Nikola except Jokic hasn't even had a month playing starter time yet (even if he has started).

Yeah this is why I laugh when people say he can't guard the rim. Its actually the one thing he can do on defense.

Byron Scott everybody!

Mind you since the AS break (when Lou's been out) its not like Russell's averaging 36+ MPG, he's at only 32 MPG, playing his best basketball of the season, being the best player on the team, and Byron is contemplating this :banghead:

So basically there is NOT A SINGLE similarity between rookie Russell and rookie Curry. Stats dont have any resemblance and age is of.. Then why the comparison?

tbf it's mostly going to affect Huertas not Russell. Having said that his return is a warm welcome for the tank. Let's go back to ISO basketball.

don't look at me, i didn't put the similarity up. They are both high IQ scoring type of guards and i'll leave it at that in terms of comparison.

He is basically Nash without the shooting ability. Ricky Rubio without the defensive ability.
