New Jaguars running back Chris Ivory isn’t expecting to see many loaded boxes from the opponent this season.
Not with a quarterback in Blake Bortles fresh off a season that featured 35 passing touchdowns, two 1,000-yard receivers on the perimeter in Allen Robinson and Allen Hurns and a tight end in Julius Thomas with 29 touchdown catches over the last three seasons.
“You always got to have some pieces to your offense,” Ivory said. “They’re definitely big pieces to this puzzle here. Having a quarterback that can deliver the ball and receivers on the outside, it does allow for more space and pulls those guys out of the box. Knowing that you have other guys around you definitely helps me.”
