Off To Recruit Training This Monday. See You All In Three Months!

Nice to see the Heat are racking up wins here. I love how our players are stepping up with Bosh's absence.

Apologize for not being in a lot of these GTs lately. I stop by from time to time to read post-game chit chat. But I've been pretty busy with something that I will be announcing to you guys pretty soon.

Time to beat the Warriors!

So a little while ago I told you all that I would be announcing something to you guys soon. I wanted to create this thread a lot earlier; but you guys have really gotten me paranoid with the jinxes .

So I'm here to announce that I will be shipping off to Recruit Training this Monday where I will on my way to becoming a United States Marine. This is something that I've wanted to do for a LONG time and time sure has passed me by pretty damn quick from when I initially sworn in (June 2015) to now. I'm nervous as hell and I'm sure I will be questioning my decision of why I joined when I have about 5 Drill Instructors yelling in my face. But it will all be worth it in the end when I see my family run across the Parade Deck to hug me when I graduate and I see the emotion on my Mom and Dad's face.

Unfortunately that means I will not be here to witness our Playoff run this year. It's going to suck not seeing how guys like Whiteside, Winslow, and Richardson will perform in their first NBA playoffs. I was also excited to see how deep we would go in the Eastern Conference. But this is a sacrifice that must be made.

I just want to thank all of you who have given me laughs since I've joined the forums. There is no place quite like it here on RealGM where I continuously laugh until my sides hurt (Raptors board too I guess). Our game threads really are the best here on RealGM. Hopefully I don't picture all those funny gifs in my head and accidentally laugh while I'm there.

I hope you all continue to stay motivated and optimistic about this team who really have turned it around from last season. I feel this Heat team is definitely good enough to make it to the ECF and give teams like the Cavs a real challenge. I wish the Heat much luck heading into the Playoffs.
