Tonight is Jeremy Lin bobblehead night

Image

Here's hoping Lin has a monster game vs his old team on his bobblehead night.

In other related news, Michael Beasley took 19 shots in 15 minutes last night. :o

I just ran a filter on BBall-Ref to see if any other player in history (back to 1983) had ever taken 19 or more shots in 15 or less minutes. The only result, Beasley. Congrats on making history.

I bumped the minutes on the filter up to 20 minutes. That change nets 8 results. Guess who is on the list twice? Beasley. LOL.

I think Lin goes off tonight.

19 shots in 15 mins? Was Beasely rebounding his own misses or something?

If someone has a bobble head that they don't want I'll pay $25 for it. The wifey wants one for her birthday.

The funny bobblehead is Kobe's. Lin's, you know it's an attempt at JLin. Lil' Kemba looks like when Kemba was maybe young. Not a bobblehead but it's an attempt at Kemba. Kobe's looked like someone else entirely.

He probably will in one game but so far he's not really done that great against the Rockets. Seems like the past 2 games he's turning it on in the early to mid 4Q, and that helps the team.

the way the starting lineup is going and the change in the second unit (featuring more Al on offense), basically makes it impossible for lin to have a huge game (statistically) even if he shoots well...
i guess you probably will see a huge game out of lin when starter cannot get going... however, you don't want to see that, do you?

Houston 5th straight road game and played at Boston last night. Need to step on their throats.

He smacked himself in the face to imitate the wobbly motion of a bobblehead

Here is the box score from the December matchup:

http://www.nba.com/games/20151221/CHAHOU/gameinfo.html?ls=eref:google:1b:post

The Hornets shot 35% to Houston's 46.5%. Every Hornet except Roberts and Daniels had a negative +- number, and they only played a few minutes. Zeller and Lin were the only players to shoot over 50%. Their bench clobbered our bench, with double figures from Thornton and Jones. Houston had 49 rebounds to our 35, though Tyler was nailed to the bench, as per usual.

So what is going to change tonight? Home court advantage could play a big part. Jefferson's return should also help the bench, especially if he can shoot over 50% and nab some rebounds. Thornton is gone. Trevor Jones got hit in the eye by Stephen Curry, of all people. So perhaps the Rockets' bench advantage will be nullified in this game.

How great would it be if we could get this win streak into double digits.

I'm predicting that Lin is going to pull out the mohawk for this game. :D

I'm guessing a lot of people want the bobble head that goes with a ticket to this game. The JLin Hornets bobble head already seems to be listed on Ebay for a higher price than bobble heads of other Hornets. There's a higher demand for JLin collectibles due to his fan base. Even his Rockets bobble head is going for a pretty penny on eBay despite him having moved on to another team.
