And Mario Hezonja looks like he second guesses every single move he makes these days.

Skiles got him playing scared.

Actually, those moments of hesitation you see, that is the development process on display.

Skiles and the coaching staff have Mario thinking: is this good shot or a bad shot? is this a risky defensive play or a good defensive play? is this drive into the paint a good aggressive dive into an open lane or bad aggressive dive into a crowded paint area? is this a good pass or a risky pass? etc.

When you see him glance at the bench, it is not fear - it is Mario seeking guidance - a signal from one of the coaches if that was his mistake or not. Its called in game counsel.

What you currently see is Mario thinking the game and then reacting. That is a key and necessary step that Mario must go through to reach a point where all those decisions and reactions are instinctual.

Scared? Absolutely not. In the process of learning how to be a great two-way player? Yes.

That is one large steaming pile.

Hezonja had a very poor game. He took poor shots. He made bad decisions. That can't possibly be construed as a sign of progress.

never....people always seem to have an axe to grind.....silent when certain players play well but when they have a bad game they're the first to sound off....no matter what people are going to keep pushing their agenda even when there is nothing concrete to suggest anybody in the core is getting traded or would be.

Its not like we're the Warrors. We have plenty to complain about this team, we've been at Philly levels the past 3 years. Why should we all be ecstatic about it?

And if we can't talk about how bad we suck on a message board where the hell do we talk about it?

There is no real agenda, but there is nothing to gain after a win like this really. It doesn't make me want to move anybody, but if we're going to win games on the backs of Jason Smith and CJ Watson the rest of the season, then yeah that is complaint worthy for sure because it leaves us in no man's land. Not saying that was this game since Oladipo and AG had nice games, just if that happens the rest of the season it proves there is a real issue even in wins.

Hey look, yet another totally uninformed and totally incorrect remark by Xatticus. Par for the course.

Inconsistency is one of, if not the most, consistent characteristic of young developing players.

We have been at Phillys level? Now you're just exaggerating.

We won. Why critique it when the only thing that matters is the W.

I'm happy every time we win I'm not pro tank or anything. All I'm saying is when we've been awful for the past few years you can't expect a fan base to just see rainbows and unicorns. And yes our win totals the past 3 years are pretty on par with Phillys. That's all I meant, to illustrate how bad we've been. All part of the process, I get that, but fans don't love losing.

Never seen him out this early without foul trouble.

6 minutes mark has been the sub time for our PF all season. Gordon averages 6.4 min in the 3rd. It's very normal for him to be out around 6 minutes in the 3rd and back with 10 or 9 to go in the 4th.

That's incorrect. It might happen tonight due to being benched early in the 3rd, but as a starter he has mostly come in with 5.5 minutes left in the 4th. He'd come in at 7.5 minutes if the guy ahead of him was really stinking it up. He's also been averaging 9 minutes in the 3rd as a starter.

You're right, I was intoxicated and feeling confident in my ability to check stats on my phone.

That's good to know. As long as he keeps having poor outings, we will know he is still improving.
