The Official Final* Tank Thread: A Call to Arms

Alright guys, you know the drill. This is getting started a little later than others, but it couldn't come a game too soon. We are entrenched in tank warfare. You remember the bad times:

All of that can soon be over*. Or we can go back into a second darkness.

This is the most intregral part in our schedule, as well as our number 1 nesmsis: The Phoenix Suns.

You may remember them from such educational films as:

-Steve Nash, or How to Trade for a the Corpse of Your Enemy

Image

We are the worst Lost Angeles Lakers team ever. Let's make it count for something. Now at 14-53 the lowly Sixers are probably well out of reach. That leaves the battle for 2nd place, securing 55.8% odds at keeping the pick, wide open.

Yes, sadly, our best chance is almost no better than a coin flip.

The Suns are 17-39, giving us a 3.5 game lead. BUT, we play them 2 times in the upcoming 5 games. We can either secure our odds or throw them out the window.

Our Schedule:

Sacramento | Phoenix |Memphis | @Phoenix | Denver

The Suns schedule:

Minnesota | @Utah | @Lakers | Memphis | Lakers

With Mike Conley out for Memphis that makes all 5 of these games potentially winnable by both teams.

We know what we play for.

Last night against the soft NY Knicks, Tank Commander made a drastic play for the tank, playing the kids only 22 minutes. This is what we need. We have one month left of the season. Hopefully one last month of tanking for many years to come...because June 23, 2016, this is the kind of look I'd like to see Tank Commander have:

Let's go Tank Show.

I have complete faith in Commander Scott. Yesterday when the loss was in doubt, he dug deep into his tactical playbook and brought back the Ryan Kelly at SF experiment. You can't beat that kind of dedication and natural skill.

Yesterday's loss was SERIOUS clutch. We can't afford to be less than 3 games back of Phoenix, since I think we still have to play them..

We play them twice, we need to lose at least 1 of those games to keep 2nd place. I hope we can start Ryan Kelly at SF and Sacre gets minutes at C.

Tank Warrior Tyler reporting for duty.

One month left. I can only hope for a 13-2 record (or 2-13 if you're on the other side of the fence) record the rest of the way. Boston at home and Utah to finish the season in Kobe's last game.

Thank god for Jose Calderon! I thought former friend Sasha Vujacic was going to let us down. Luckily, he was saved.

That is literally the exact thought I got out of that. I don't even remember the game.

Last night was honestly the first game over the last few seasons I thought we may actually have intentionally lost. Felt like we had made our point over the last few games and it was time to seriously throw in the towel.
Sucked, honestly.

Ingram looks like a malnourished Nick Young in that picture.

I don't post much, but when I do it is because I am reporting to duty.

Onto the tanking bandwagon I go!

Isn't it kind of funny that for all the crap he gets during his tenure here, Mike D'Antoni turns out to be the better coach than Byron? Just a thought.

Sometimes, in the course of human events, a man comes along with exactly what the moment requires. Science people call this synchronicity, others call it fate. Whatever you call it - Byron Scott has been honing his skills for just this moment.

What if Byron's ridiculous coaching decisions this season were just a part of one big drawn out, masterfully executed tank move?

Either way, we can do this... In Byron we trust!
