I think we now have to give credit to Spo who has now helped developed Whiteside, TJ, Richardson and Winslow while still keeping the team competitive. This is a part of being a good coach that few are able to master. Pat Riley never cared to even try!

Even though it feels like the Heat have slipped defensively recently, they have the 7th best defensive rating post All Star break. They can definitely do better, but I was surprised to see they're not doing too poorly (at least statistically).

Have to admit after watching this game, the Heat are a legitimate dark horse to win the east. I think when Bosh comes back the rotation will look something like:

F Deng
F J. Johnson
C Bosh
G Wade
G Dragic

Bench
C Whiteside
F Winslow
F Richardson
G T. Johnson

EDIT: Nvm, Richardson and Joe Johnson significantly improve your team's perimeter spacing. In terms of talent Miami has more than even Cleveland as a team imo, and the bench of Whiteside/Winslow/Richardson offers a lot of energy and defense. There's a lot of versatility to play big or small with that 9 man rotation (Amare/McBob figure to get spot minutes).

So will Spo start Whiteside again after this? I know he played poorly through the first 2-3 quarters tonight but when he locked in defensively we looked like a different team.

Why you guys talking about Whiteside starting or not in every game thread?

I feel like Miami should just keep starting Whiteside off the bench, he would be the first option on offense and be that go to guy when the opponents are resting their starters. With whiteside coming off the bench the focus is clearly on him not Wade or JJ or Goran just him so teams will double and try to pack the paint which opens up for our guys like Winslow, and Bulldog and whoever are in when he's in. Only way I see change if GOD FORBID Amare goes down and we would have to move him up but let's keep the flow moving and no need to tinker at all with the starting lineup.

Would love Kenneth Faried on our team. He's uninspired in Denver. Nuggets has been insignificant since Iverson left. Faried would be rejuvenated here.

I don't agree with any of this 3bb, Faried looked fine to me they way he was terrorizing our front line. They made the WCF the same season they trade A.I. to Detroit. They were really good after they traded Melo, made the playoffs in 2012, and almost won 60 games in 2013. They've been rebuilding ever since.
