I'd still trade him for Thee Lord Voldermort in a half-second but that ship has sailed, if we part with Deng just so Wade can share his check with Joe this offseason I'm going to bite somebody. Going to be interesting to see what type of payper Deng draws this offseason, anyhow

You can make an argument that Deng not only thrived at the 4 but also the fact that when Bosh, Wade & Hassan were out Spo put more on his plate equating to more responsibility.....resulting in more opportunities. Essentially more trust and faith in him. I think this has been understated. THe same can be said about Winslow also. We have a very talented team, give anybody more opportunities and they thrive and this is what we are currently seeing.
If u don't want 2b here, the way things work, u don't like it, then don't b here. U have 2 stand on something. If Miami ain't standing on something, they become alot of these organizations trying 2 find their identity. This is the culture, bro -Wade

Its more the move to the 4 than it is his increased role. We had the same situation last season where Bosh went down and as a result Deng now had more opportunities to produce.

Difference is that last season Deng was very resistant to playing PF, Spo tried to get him to buy into it but it just wasn't working so we brought in Henry Walker and left Deng at the 3.

Deng went on to average 13 and 5 post all star break while playing SF almost exclusively.

This year after more urging from both Goran and Spo Deng finally took the plunge and decided to commit himself to being a full time 4 and it probably saved his career.

Because both offensively and defensively Deng's at a point physically where he simply can't hang with most of the perimeter guys anymore.

honestly, i can't refute any of this seeing as i didn't really follow all of that situation last season w/ Deng.

I'm just a big advocate of trust and faith for our players. Even bigger advocate for team concept. What i'm seeing w/ recent adjustments is our players handed more responsibilities and freedom to play w/ less restrictions. As a result we are playing loose & aggressive!

Indiana up by 7 at the moment. This result would move us into a tie with the Celtics (of course they have the tie breaker).

Up by 10 with 1:42 to play.

Damn I thought this would give us 3rd seed but I'll take a tie. Also they play OKC tomorrow who are probably pissed right now because they've been playing like ****. Hopefully they take their anger out on the Celtics tomorrow night and we take care of business this week long enough to actually hold on to the 3rd seed.

Yessir good **** Indiana. Finally did something right for us for once. Much better than being a pain in the ass every time we play.

This is considered baiting. This is your only warning.

EDIT: Wait...how many warnings do you already have against your record? Wow.

Pretty much. He's gone the second somebody is willing to take him. Regardless of how well he plays we need that cap space flexibility. We tried like hell to dump him this past trade deadline. Didn't have the assets required though.

Sad thing is that if we had dumped him before the season started like I wanted to we probably could've gotten a 2nd rounder for him... now though we're going to have to give up assets and essentially pay someone to take him away.

The asset cupboard is empty, Quiz. We're stuck with him

P.S. McRoberts would've won Ohio :)

If Riley can get rid of Granger and Cole he can get rid of McBob.

Just you wait Chalm.

No more first rounders to attach :)

And don't you dare insinuate McRoberts is the same level of player as those two!

Real talk doe, I don't think it will be that hard to find a team to absorb McRobert's contract into their salary cap next summer (if it must be done :( ). Teams are just gonna have so much money next summer, and there's not enough decent free agents to give all that cash to.

Nobody was going to give us anything for McBob this past summer with 3 years left in his contract, coming off a mediocre season and from a bad injury. Same reason why there was no interest in him before the trade deadline. Unless McBob starts balling consistently, we will have to pay to get him off our books.
