That's simply untrue. Maybe his third worst game since the all star break, but he basically put up his average last night, despite being slightly below his average fg %. Very average game for KAT, season wise

He shot under fifty percent from the field and played relatively poor defense last night. In addition, he made multiple poor passes. He finally figured it out in the fourth quarter, but last night was not kind to him at all.

Chandler/Len is proving to be a pretty good front court tandem. I never thought Len could play PF but because of his shooting ability and mobility, it's working out pretty well.

The last few months I've really cooled on Portis, not really liking his prospects. Most of his points were the result of jumpers, and his jumper has really cooled off.

He's always been a bit shot happy and taken shots out of the rhythm of the offense, but when he was hot, we could give him a pass. Now that he's not hitting them at a good rate, his poor shot selection is really starting to show. Combine that with a mediocre post game and the lack of size/athleticism to be a real force under the ring, and he's really starting to look like a bad offensive player. He's shooting 43% on the season now, horrible for a big.

He's continuing to do well on the boards, but often times his 2nd and 3rd efforts aren't enough to counter for his lack of lift. And defensively, he's one of the worst on the team, got a lot of growth to go there.

In the same way he started out hot, it's not fair to judge him on a cold streak either, but even when he was playing well I was a bit skeptical about how he was doing it. He'll have a solid career in this league, but I can't see him panning out as a starting level player at this stage. For all the talk about how he was a sleeper in the draft, I think all things considered, he was probably picked where he deserved to be picked.

Amazing how easily people change opinions. The knicks fans were all over the forum applauding porzingis until january.
And now, they are on the opposite side on their boards just because the kid has hit the wall.
From porzingod to porzintrash there is a huge difference lol
Obviously he wasn't ready for so many games. And obviously he can have a couple of bad months.
Just chill out. Peace

They aren't. The reason they're being like that to Porzingis is to point out the hypocracy of the anti Melo people on there who keep trying to make Porzingis vs Melo a thing like they made Lin vs Melo and Amare vs Melo a thing. They study everything Melo does bad while ignoring anyone else. Just the other day we had a ton of posts on how Melo didn't look happy enough that Jose hit a game winner.

Most realize that next to RoLo and Melo Porzingis even in his slump is our best man.

I think Towns has hit a wall. Yet he still is putting up numbers. His deficiency has come on the defensive end imo. Dude still impresses even when he's not playing well.

18-10 on 8 shots is a wall? Our defensive issues are on defending the 3 point line and offensive rebounding. Towns is our only player who can consistently rebound. Sure, he got bodied by Tyson Chandler a bit and abused a bit but Tyson is waaay bigger than him right now. The rest of the Wolves starters only had 15 rebounds to his 10.

You think he had a great game yesterday? I don't but he still put up the numbers. That's what I said above. Not really sure what your take is. :-?

I don't think he's fallen off at all on D. His D outside of the paint has been very rookie-like all year.

Trey Lyles could be scary good. He's 6'10 250, shoots 40% from three, can handle the ball and is an EXcellent passer. TonigHT he lead the Jazz in scoring with 17 despite only playing 18 minutes, this after he was Mr Clutch against the Cavs. Not many people his size can do what he does.

Did I say that? If Towns takes 8 shots how many points do you expect him to score?

Came here to post something similar. Has anyone outside Utah seen much of him? If so, care to chime in?

I hated the pick when we made it, but he's making a believer out of me. Dude has a crazy combination of size, skills and intelligence offensively. Coming along way faster than projected. If he decides he cares enough to become at least an average rebounder and commits defensively, it looks like he has a chance to be a real star in the league.
