But losing seasons and lost seasons are not one in the same. The Bucks may not make the playoffs this season, but the decision to fully hand the reigns over Antetokounmpo means they're closer to achieving their long-term goals than they were in October.

Paul Pressey name getting sited! Haven't seen that in a long time. Nor one of my fav #21's Alvin Robertson (before he went crazy).

http://www.todaysfastbreak.com/nba-east/milwaukee-bucks/numbers-court-giannis-antetokounmpo-making-name-triple-doubles/

It’s interesting to me that one NBA player that is really making a name for himself over the past three weeks of the 2015-16 NBA season is a player, Giannis Antetokounmpo, whose name is continually butchered when fans and broadcasters trying to pronounce it. Maybe this surge in his performance will make his name a little less challenging to say, especially if broadcasters are saying it more often.

The Milwaukee Bucks “Greek Freak” has been on a statistical tear over the past three weeks. From Feb. 22 to March 14, there have been 13 triple-doubles in the league. Oklahoma City’s Russell Westbrook, a triple-double machine himself (he has 12 this season, one more than Golden State’s Draymond Green) has four of those triple-doubles; Antetokounmpo also has four, tying Westbrook for the most in this three-week period. For Giannis, these four triple-doubles were the first of his career.

What makes Giannis’ play over the past three weeks even more amazing is that he is just 21 years of age. In fact, in his triple-double on Feb. 22 against the Lakers, Antetokounmpo was 21 years and 78 days. Since the 1983-84 season, more than 30 years of NBA play, that puts Giannis as the 30th youngest to achieve a triple-double in a game. Since that season, LeBron James is the youngest player to get a triple-double; he did on Jan. 19, 2005 at the age of 20 years and 20 days.

Here’s a look at the 10 youngest triple-doubles in the league since 1983-84.

Age, player, triple-double date
20 years, 20 days, LeBron James, 1.19.2005
20 years, 23 days, LeBron James, 1.22.2005
20 years, 54 days, Lamar Odom, 12.30.1999
20 years, 65 days, John Wall, 11.10.2010
20 years, 100 days, LeBron James, 4.09.2005
20 years, 110 days, Russell Westbrook, 3.02.2009
20 years, 111 days, LeBron James, 4.20.2005
20 years, 125 days, Lamar Odom, 3.10.2000
20 years, 129 days, Shareef Abdur-Rahim, 4.19.1997
20 years, 130 days, Lamar Odom, 3.15.2000

Let’s look at which players have had the most triple-doubles since 1983-84 at age 20, 21, 22, 23, 24 and 25. As you might expect from the list above, LeBron tops the list with the most triple-doubles by a player at 20 years of age… he had five. Lamar Odom is second with three. Up until three weeks ago, James and Odom also topped the list with the most triple-doubles by a player 21 years of age.

The top of that list got a little more crowded with Giannis’ four triple-doubles since Feb. 22; the three are now tied for the most at this age with four. Considering that Antetokounmpo just turned 21 and has the rest of this season and until December 6 of next season, there’s a good chance the “Greek Freak” will sit atop that list in the very near future.

Giannis’ coach, Jason Kidd, leads the most triple-doubles by a player age 22 with 11. Most by a 23-year-old is Grant Hill with 10; he also leads the 24-year-olds with 13. Magic Johnson is a close second at age 24 with 11. Draymond Green and Magic Johnson are tied for the 25-year-old age category with 11 triple-doubles (Green turned 26 on March 4).

It’s interesting to note that Giannis is not the youngest player to get a triple-double in a Bucks’ uniform. Brandon Jennings got a triple-double as a member of the Bucks on Oct. 30, 2010 (he had 20 points, 10 assists and 10 rebounds) at age 21 years, 37 days, that’s 41 days earlier than Giannis got his first triple-double for the Bucks.

Here are a couple more stats about Antetokounmpo’s triple-double run:

The Bucks won three of the four games. They are 24-10 since 1983-84 in games where one of their players collects a triple-double.
Giannis’ triple-double on Feb. 22 was the first by a Bucks’ player since Larry Sanders had 10 points, 12 rebounds and 10 blocks in a game for the Bucks on Nov. 30, 2012.
Paul Pressey has the most triple-doubles for the Bucks since 1983-84 with six. He is followed by Sidney Moncrief and Alvin Robertson with five each, and Giannis with four.

Hahaha at the conspiracy thought that Kidd benched Giannis to keep his own TD stat alive. I know someone is gonna say it.

He's likely to get 2-4 more this season, so he should be able to break this record before he turns 22 years old on Dec 6th 2016.

Would be awesome if he breaks it before the end of this season and then just build on his own record next year.

POST ASB:

14 games: 19.9ppg, 9.9rpg, 7.9apg, 1.8spg, 1.9bpg. 4 Triple Doubles average 1 TD every 3.5 games.

20/10/8/2/2. Pretty incredible. With 14 games to go, at the current pace would bring in another 4 TD's before season's end, which would give him 8 on the season.

Article about best Coast-to-Coast Players :

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2624398-the-best-coast-to-coast-players-in-the-nba/page/2

Antetokounmpo is 10th (4.0) in the league in fast-break points per game. He's fourth (5.9) since the lineup change.

Together, Kidd and Antetokounmpo have solved the riddle of a multi-skilled superhuman specimen previously deemed guardable because he couldn't shoot. Kidd putting the ball in Antetokounmpo's hands makes it impossible to ignore him, and Giannis' decision to just dunk everything he touches really hamstrings opponents who try to force him to shoot jumpers.

Im going to share with you guys a video of Giannis Antetokounmpo I just made.

Most of the footage is from this Point-Forward stretch where he is playing at an amazing level, but there are also footage of key games like the victory against Golden State in december. I wanted to highlight the all-around excellence that Giannis has, showing scoring, passing and defense highlights.

I hope you guys enjoy it.

Not correct. He played 12 games as pg now

So who was handling point guard duties in the Mayo/Mids/Parker/Giannis/Plumlee lineup?

Just thinking, do you think Giannis as point guard would have happened without Kidd?

Can someone who is good at such stuff post the 2017-2018 financial status of the team assuming that Giannis gets the 5-year max?

Yes and much earlier on.
Giannis was playing the point almost all of his career.
And that's what he said when Kidd ask him what's his position.

So how does free Dawkins and GD factory get away with posting highlights every few hours without getting screwed by NBA copyright?

Good question. Although I think Dawkins's first youtube account was taken down. Now he uses a different one.

Anyway, I uploaded the video to Daily Motion. Let's see how much time it survives there.
