Deserves its own thread. Very happy for the guy. I hear Minny gave him a nice standing ovation - good on them, good city, good fans. Can someone Youtube this?

Sorry don't know how to youtube it but all I saw was 500 on the Jumbotron. It's on the Sports Preview Channel which is #401 on Rogers digital and they're showing the Minnesota telecast.
The camera first zoomed in on a guy in the audience recording Frank Thomas on his digital camera as he stepped onto the plate. Then the play-by-play guy mentioned something like "might be recording footage of baseball history" Unfortunately, he went down 0-2 on the count and then the 3rd pitch on the oustide half of the plate and bam! it was out.

congratulations to frank thomas my favorite baseball player of all time. you've proved doubters wrong time and time again and are still a productive player at 39. here's to hoping to a couple more great years and a world series in which you're healthy enough to play in.
