So, you are assuming Magic players secretly are criticizing Skiles because of playing time even though nobody has witnessed it.

Now, I have heard everything . . .

nope. i have no idea whether they are secretly criticizing him or not. But whether they are or not, im not surprised at all that they arent doing it publicly.

I wouldn't be surprised if Bostons players secretly criticize their coach. But, it is probably not correct.

Just because you speculate how players feel doesn't mean it is true.

ahh, the tried and true BMP approach. I say that you dont see players openly criticize their current coach, you cant debate that item, so you change the argument. nuff said, done trying to talk to you on this item since you have admitted defeat by changing the subject, to now talking about what the players secretly do.

Well, if you have verified proof players are dissatisfied with Skiles, I would be happy to review them. But, if you do find isolated incidents where a player is frustrated when being taken out of a game, I bet I can find just as many from Boston as well. Regardless, there is no verified proof anyone is dissatisfied outside of fans posting on RealGM.

I'm going with unfinished roster. We looked great last night with a defensive 5, and a scoring 1 as literally almost all of us have expected.

The PG pickings is thin in FA, and as I am not a big fan of Conley, he would do wonders for our team, providing us with really good defense, can spread the floor and he can run a team (sign Conley). Snag a defensive 5, i'm not going to go with Whiteside here because there's alot of unknowns, and I know many people aren't a fan of him here - so i'm going to go with Festus Ezeli. Re-sign Evan, and Jason Smith. Now you've got yourself a really good team, and you've got numerous options, ex; trade Vooch, S&T Evan, put Vooch in the Jason Smith role, let Elf develop behind Conley, trade our pick, etc.

Conley/Dipo/Evan/Aaron/Festus
Elf/Mario/___/Smith/Vooch
(Maybe slide CJ/ elf to the 2, and move Mario to the 3 if we don't draft a 3/ sign one).

It's really a combination of everything; but choosing from those I'd go with coaching/player fit/offensive system.

Crybabies are not wanted. Now, MagicStarWipe, think about this with your current employer. If you don't believe in your jobs system, do you think the company you work for should just change their business model to accommodate you?

Then, imagine if you get paid millions and then you will understand that these kids should learn to bite the bullet and work harder to prove everyone all wrong. Then, they will get everything they want and deserve.

The problem is we're dealing with MILLENIALS. They want a medal and a round of applause for showing up to work on time everyday and if you don't then you're labeled a "douchebag" or some other personal attack.

You seem like you'd be good friends with Skiles lol. Your posts remind me of the dad from That 70's show. always so angsty

See? Now apparently I'm old and friends with Skiles just for having a difference of opinion. Thank you for proving my point. Did you get your daily Award for showing up today?

Too young/inexperienced; not enough star power to overcome it.

I voted for "Player Fit".

4 seasons into this and the Magic have made it clear in their rebuilding strategy that BPA is a priority over Need. Not that that is a bad thing, but in doing so, we now have the very expected result of a team that does not compliment each other on the floor and in the lockerroom. The theory is that the cream will rise to the top and we will give ourselves the best chance at acquiring a Superstar, but in doing so there is a certain degree of cannibalism that has to happen among the players as they fight their way to the top. The problem is compounded when the coach restrains young players to the bench. For better or worse, it is what it is and what we have now is a team in the middle of a rebuilding project that needs time to work itself out.

Currently, we are dealing with a lot of problems that stem from having a duplication of talent. Between Oladipo, Fournier, Hezonja, Harris, and Gordon, Hennigan assembled quite the log jam. Teams have an agenda and players have an agenda and they don't always align. Oladipo has been trying to do more than he is capable of, Fournier has been fighting for the biggest FA summer of his life, Harris had just been made the Magic's highest paid player and Gordon and Hezonja were 2 Top 5 picks anxious to get theirs. Cannibalism was bound to occur, but that was also an expected result that management should have foreseen way in advance and accepted. Leading up to the trade deadline things came to a boiling point. This team was enduring one of the worst runs of losses in recent memory. Skiles had no idea how to set his rotations. Chemistry between coach to player and player to player was/is a problem. ..the loses kept piling up, and January just killed us. Plain and simple. The team has not yet recovered from it, and as a matter of fact, won't recover from it... not this season at least. Team concept has already been shot and hopes of the playoffs are being shattered as we head down the stretch.. Right now, the rest of the season will be about "Me ball" as players fight to establish their roles and value around the league.

At least Rob made one move to relieve some of that duplication by shipping off Tobias. But... at the same time, I consider it a "reset" move and not a "step forward" move. It could be a step forward move IF Jennings or Ily turn out to be a keeper piece, but I'm not as confident about that I was when the trade was first made... we shall see what Rob thinks come this summer.

We have good players, but they just don't fit next to each other. They make nice sounds, but when combined together, they don't make nice music.

As a Magic fan I believe the inexperience leads the team to being bad however I do not care for them being bad this season as they will get more seasoned. On that I mostly fear that we may not have superstars(No KD, jury out on AG and Mario) for the future. This fear is because while I think Skiles is a good coach he is not a great one(he has however mellowed from his previous stints and has gotten more experimentive which to me is good) and I think a good coach needs a Superstar talent to raise the team to contender status except if you are great like Larry Brown circa 2003. My greatest regret for the team is that we were bad at the wrong time for that transcendental talent and we are reaping all the negative consequences for our draft strategy(bad fit, no clear direction/identity) instead of the positive ones(in getting a legit star).

Im not a coaches fan Im a Magic fan. If you had any type of reading comprehension you'd realize that reading posts over the course of the season. But of course the weak thing to do is to just say "coaches fan". Standard.
