If picking up Shea Hillenbrand is what you guys think will cure your losing ways, you've got a lot more wrong with the team than that. The Yanks could use some help at first with so many guys out but the kid has an OPS of .600 exactly, his on base percentage is blow .300 and his slugging is just barely over .300. And he's not all that great with the glove. I'm surprised it has taken this long for him to get DFA. I think you'd be better served looking for a legit 1st baseman and moving a few C+ prospects for him. mahalo

Yeah, unless Hillenbrand turns into Mickey Mantle, he's not going to do **** for NY. The Yankees problems aren't having guys that can drive in runs, it's guys that have the type of "win at all costs", "rather die than lose" personalities. If Hillenbrand was that type of player he'd still be in Boston.
