Booker posting a -41. He now has 3 of the 15 worst +/- of the season. Fun facts, didn't mean to besmirch the golden boy

Who cares, we suck? Call me when plus minus is based on one player, not five, then it would be a worthwhile stat for one player.

Plus minus is one of the worst evaluative statistics around.

If you are being serious, then Idk what to say. Out of anything I have ever read on this message board, this is the most asinine thing I have ever seen. You let me know where you can find an interview of Dwayne Wade praising Knight as a rookie 19 year old saying he is going to be one of the best two guards in the league. You show me where Knight had multiple 30 point games in his rookie season. You show me where Knight was the third youngest player in NBA history to put up a 30 point game. You let me know where Knight made the the final round of the 3 point shooting contest as a rookie only to lose out against two of the greatest shooters in NBA history. You let me know where Knight scored back to back 30+ point games a rookie. Because Devin Booker has done all those things and his rookie season is still not over yet.
You know what Knight has done? Got traded twice before his rookie contract was up and now on his third team where the majority of fans cannot wait to get rid of him. Booker is the exact opposite of Knight.

His RPM which adjusts for teammates, lineups and opponent is -4.46 which ranks 90th among SGs. He's a rook thrown to the dogs so its a given, just saying he still has ways to go but sure I'll cut him some slack

Booker missed a lot of open looks tonight..I'm not a huge Knight fan either but Book had some makeable shots..didn't take care of the ball well either. He just had a bad night on the same night they played against a good defense. His shooting struggles weren't really due to Knight in this game.

This was a critical game for the tank!
Best part is we face the Lakers tomorrow. They may be one of the only teams worse then us, but at least our legs will be tired. Very crucial we lose tomorrow to!

Wow, Booker with a -41 for the night?
As a team, we sure can stink it up though.

The pleasure of the boards when losing these days. No one bitching and complaining and the board is a happy place for all to come and enjoy.

Re: Suns at Utah
Since knight has come back Booker has looked a shell of what he was. For anyone thinking of +/- as a real stat please stop. Booker is 19 and already looks to be one of the best SG's in the league

Well it is a "real stat", but I didn't make any arguments based on it, nor did I see Saint make one based off that stat. So, please stop yourself.

I don't have to say so, it is. And no one made an argument using that stat. I think we all understand the age and growing pains of young Booker.

Re: Suns at Utah
Here is a crazy stat about Knight:
He has played 45 games this year. In 17 of those 45 games, he has at least 5 turnovers or more. He averages 36 minutes a game.
In his rookie season in 2011-12, Knight played 66 games and averaged 32 minutes per game. He had 5 turnovers or more in only 5 of his 66 games.
So one can argue that Knight has dramatically regressed in terms of ball handling and decision making compared to his rookie year. In addition, his shooting has not improved. He shot 41.5% fg and 38.0% 3 pts as a rookie. This year he is shooting 41.9% fg and 33.8% 3 pts. He has been in the league for five years. His age is of no relevance at this point. Look at his stats. He is who he is. Unfortunately he actually seems to be getting worse imo.
Now Booker had an off night tonight. His body language was not good. He made careless passes. But that is rare for him so far in his career. Knight on the other hand had 6 turnovers tonight. Not only is that not rare for him, it is routine. Considering Knight is a veteran already, don't you think Knight should be better at taking care of the ball.
The Suns are advertising Booker constantly as the face of the franchise and rightfully so. Len too is getting better and Chandler embraces him. I do not see that connection between Booker and Knight. I am sure McDonough can see it as well. I think the Suns will let Knight continue to pile up shot attempts because they are showcasing him. With the emergence of Booker, Knight is useless and redundant and serves no purpose, even as a sixth man. Why pay a bench player 70 million when you can find other scorers for far cheaper.

To me, the math is simple.
Our future is clearly screwed.

Unless we move Knight/Tucker. If we do our future has a glimmer.

Re: Suns at Utah
The team laid an egg, no biggie if u ask me.
Knight/Booker connection (lack of it) might be another concern where I just can't back up our glorified whipping boy. I just can't understand that dude - or us trading for him, signing him to that concract, keeping him, letting him run the offense. Aside these small things he is quite good.
