We need to pay homage to Frank. We should be thanking him for being so tantalizing that Charlotte couldn't pass him up:
Spoiler:

There could've been a scenario where Winslow got taken and Frank and Booker were on the board. I thought Charlotte wanted Booker because they wanted to improve their 3 pt shooting, but you just can't pass up the goat.

Maybe it's time for a playoff backcourt of JRich and TJ

JRich
TJ
Winslow
Deng
Whiteside

Probably our best 5 at the moment.

Yes you did Dwyane. You were also 29 at the time, and a top 3 player in the NBA. We remember. That was then, this is now.

There's too much of a focus on one shot. Of course it's the NBA, it's the Hollywood moment so it'll be the center of attention. But the reality is a different one and if we weren't such a poor defensive team these days, it wouldn't even come down to such a scenario. Truth be told, I wouldn't be surprised if Wade was probably to be more of a decoy, but the way they were hugging to our better shooters and given how little time we had left, Wade had to shoot it once it was passed to him. I mean who else was open? That's why I would've gone for the three a possession before that, when we still had 10 or 11 seconds on the clock. Spoelstra gambled differently and it backfired, but as I said, that's really something that can go either way.

The grand problem still stands: We suck defensively and we're fooling ourselves if we think those wins since the All-Star break were good enough performances to win in the playoffs. They weren't. As efficient as our offense has become, we're relying far too much on it.

Pepperidge farm remembers specifically, after ASB, when our defense started to fail and our order on offense began to dissemble.

Precisely young Chalms. That and lil' Breezy not playing for grievance purposes. They haven't been properly credited with their contributions, this needed some air before they're discredited and efforts wasted

If our backup PG getting injured is what makes all the difference than we have bigger problems to deal with. You think the Cavs would be screwed without Delly or the Warriors without Livingston? No, of course not, they'd both be fine.

We need Hassan to get rested up and we need Wade to stop shooting 39%. You're best player being out plus two of your remaining best players playing like crap is more of a determinant than anything else.

I don't think Bob and Beno being out are the only differences from what we saw peak, post ASB but I get what you're saying

What I was referring to was also pre-thigh bruise tho, L's and W's both involved. Going to have to make other adjustments and changes to match personnel because iz not working. I think it's more than just Wade being ill but we'll see soon

You mean the "talk" about the Hawks and the Hornets? I think Chris Paul needs to give him that talk :)

Poor defense is the cost of playing Dragon in the only way he plays well. Our O scores more but our D gives up more. Whiteside has to play like the defensive MVP to make up for our "great" offense. If only Goran could lock in on D for the 4th quarter ala Wade we'd all be smiling.

sick to death of the "fans" knocking Wade. He doesn't deserve it even if we base it only on this year's play.

He's hardly missed a game.

He has dominated and won games for us this season.

Even with his taking defensive plays off and his lower shooting efficiency he's still head and shoulders better than most guards in the league and that definitely includes Goran. It seems Goran is more of a one trick pony and that's okay but the added offense in the one system he can play needs to outweigh the porous defense in that same situation.

Even when Wade has a stinker of a shooting game he still can step up and focus on Defense , blocks, steals and iron tight D.

Why I should be surprised that the usual Box score warriors don't see this is the strange thing. It's the same people who spoke so badly about Deng all season and Winslow when he misses a couple of jumpers. Some "fans" only base their views on the box score and on offense. It'll never change.
