When reading through the end of the thread this morning was shocked to see people complaining about the players being friendly with Frye after the game. Come on guys! Do they want to beat each other? Of course, but you don't stop being friends when a player is traded. They do the same after every game, seek out the guys they have a connection to or fought hard with during the game. I don't want the players to stomp off like a bunch of babies!

Fun fact - the last time that happened (January) Nicholson was taken out of the lineup after averaging, per 36, our 2ND most points and 4th most rebounds on our team, in December.

January, he was taken out and had his minutes severely reduced. We went 2-12 that month.

Skiles overreacted to that loss and it ended up removing us from the playoffs as a result. Nicholson was a staple player for us and was guiding our bench to positive outings. We would have made the playoffs.

Luckily, Aaron Gordon did emerge as our future star over time. I just wish it didn't come with the cost of missing the playoffs this year, and what is bound to be the eventual trade/release of arguably our best bench player (better than Smith, dedmon, ilyasova, hands down.)

So, the key to the January losing streak was Nicholson?

Sorry, I can't buy that.

That is exactly what I'm sayin. Nicholson was the glue guy and losing him made us fall apart.

Also is it me or did he change his release point on his 3pt shot recently? Earlier in the year he looked like he was releasing really late or something and I haven't noticed that as much lately.

He's been shooting it well over the last 3 months... Which is a pretty good sign that he might be turning the corner...

Hopefully we can see more of this for the rest of the season and beyond.

He shot it well overall in January, but his midrange shot was 41% (and he wasn't taking nearly as many as he has the past 7 weeks). He did shoot 3s really well that month though. This month he's firing on all cylinders: 72% restricted area, 51% midrange and 42% 3pt.

On the midrange thing, FINALLY! With all of the DWade comparisons, this should have been his focus all along. It also opens up the driving lane a bit when you're capable of killing a team with a quick pull-up.

On the 3pt shot, yes it does look different. It's a much faster release. It looks like his 'normal' shot when he's playing in summer games just having fun.

Victor is just in the zone right now like he was back in early January. He has been killing it all of 2016/ By far has been our most consistent and productive player. This is not the first we see this from victor. He has given us a taste and teases like these for years now and as fans we just hope that one day this is how he brings it every night(not 45 of course). He has the potential to be one of the best 2-way players. His shot is falling which is great but his tough defense, and yes even on Lebron, those steals, and the hustle is just fun to watch. He has been playing like a all star this entire month. Too bad its been shadowed by the Ls.

This offseason, goal #1 is to sign Dipo to a long-term team. Max him if you have to bc you know he will continue to improve. Its just his 3rd season and look how much he has improved from that kid of out Indiana who couldn't hit a 3 and make a layup. The kid has a tenacious work ethic and those players always have a successful NBA career. Sign the man, get 1 or 2 veteran FA on their prime, continue developing AG and Mario and win some games. I dont want to start picturing Oladipo in a Laker jersey -_-

I love the way dipo is playing but people need to not be so bipolar. People were saying that he is who he is and was not developing enough now he is a lock in our future core.

I feel the same about payton. Dude can be really good and no one should give up on a 2nd year player so fast.

These guys are young have had terrible coaches and by the looks of it are not quite ready now but in 2 years will be.

McGrady never put out as much effort on defense as Oladipo does.

It's a holdover from a previous era. There was a time in the NBA when teams hated each other and fraternization with players on other teams was unacceptable.

Close game, glad we didn't get blown out by 20+. Would have liked to beat the Cavs once this season. Dipo balled out!

we should get rid of vuc and let dedmon roll with it because obviously we are better without him. I stated this in the offseason.

We actually stood a chance against cleveland this time.

If Oladipo didn't put the team on his back with a career night it would have been another blowout. You know it's true.

I don't think this one game makes the last 3 without Vooch disappear. We are clearly world's better with Nik than without IMO.

Yeah our record is really good with Vucevic in the lineup.

 We're still better offensively with him than without. Nobody is talking about our record. Not one player on the team has improved our record because we don't have an elite player. But if you actually watch the games with an actual understanding of how basketball is played you could clearly see that our offense struggles without him. Our guys aren't getting the open looks they got with Vooch demanding double teams. We're trying to play from the outside in with mediocore shooting. We aren't GS. A "defensive" center has made little difference just as I expected and that would apply with Deandre, Bogut, M. Gasol, Gobert, or whomever else people pretend are better than Vooch.

Team's ORTG in last 9 games without Vucevic- 101.7

Team's ORTG with Vucevic playing- 101.5

Where's that big difference you keep talking about?

Also are you really comparing the impact that Dedmon is providing to an impact that DJ, Gobert, Bogut,Whiteside would provide? That's just some pure ignorance dude...
