Wondered what everyones thoughts on signing BB to contract next season is?

Think he is definatley a player we can realistically get. Think hes got loads of room to grow as a player and a starting position on the right team he could potentail be a steal in free agency.

Dont know. But im thinking along lines of replacing Vuc with him. Package Vuc with another for vetran player. Address the PF with our pick in draft unless we get Parsons in offseason. If we get parsons then package the pick with Vuc and another player

lets not get too carried away with one 25 rebound game. for the year he is averaging 5 ppg, 8 rpg, 1.5 bpg. he is just a slightly better version of Dedmon.

Did I just read someone wants to trade Vuc AND another player for Bismack Biyombo? You trade Vuc +1 for a game changer type talent only.

NO dont trade Vuc for Bismack. I said in above post sign Bismack in free agency. Then trade VUC for a vetran

When i said replacing Vuc with him thats after you trade Vuc away for a Vetran. A package of Vuc + 1 and maybe pick for game changer. I got this feeling Hennys going to suprise us in offseason with big move.

I reckon hell make a play for Butler and Noah of the bulls. Could possible see him trading VUC + 1 and pick (if the picks crap)

Also reckon Hennys going to make big free agency swoops for Whiteside and Conley and Parsons.

Hes under soooo much pressure to deliver a winning team now. The clocks ticking on Henny and i think this summers going to be exciting for Magic fans.

Ah, understood Gaz. I'm not against adding Biyombo because the Magics interior D is beyond disgusting. Any help the better. I'd like to keep Vucevic but I'm of the opinion the look and feel of the team may need a real overhaul and Vucevic can help acquire a difference maker. I'll be very disappointed if Chandler Parsons is our big acquisition this summer. The Mavericks are in a free fall out of the playoff race out west and Parsons is one of their key guys.

He reminds me of a Reggie Evans that can block shots. He's been decent as JV's backfill but nothing to write home about really.

The idea of getting rid of Vucevic for this guy isn't exactly appealing to me.

I wouldnt get rid of Vuc for Bismack id get rid of Vuc + player for a game changer. Maybe someone like Butler and Noah.

Bismack would be to fill the need for centre once Vuc has gone. Either that or maybe Ezil from Warriors.

I wouldnt be against this senario:

Vuc, Dipo and pick FOR Butler, Noah and Chicago pick (not sure numbers would work but addition players picks can be added)

Then either make a play for Whiteside/Bismack/Ezil or draft new big man.

Additional play made to sign Conley

Lineup of

Conley
Butler
Bismack
Gordon
Noah

I no im dreaming right LOL

But my point is ive been a fan for last 5 years and my patience has gone now. Im fed up of "waiting for players to grow"
Think we need to go all in and make a big splash. Unless you draft a wiggins or Towns or Ingram where you can build round them as they are stud players. The nearest thing to a superstar we have is Gordon.

We just need one allstar caliber player to sign and more decent players will follow. Thats what its like in todays NBA. We are going to have to overpay big style to get the first one above this ship though.

Once one signs even if its a tier 2 type player such as Parsons then they will help recruit others.

If the rumors are true and Butler aint happy at the bulls then why not make a big play for him ?

Orlando Magic with a young allstar in Butler looks ALOT more appealing than orlando with Dipo.

I wanted us to sign him in the offseason, but now no as what I believe we should do is re-sign Evan, sign Conley, and Festus, let Elf develop behind Conley, Trade Vooch, or use him at the Enes Kanter role, trade our pick and sign an SF for some depth. I'm on the fence about re-signing Jennings/ Ersan. Also re-sign Jason, he has been very good for us.

Conley/Oladipo/Fournier/Gordon/Ezeli
Elf/Mario/Draft or FA/Smith/ Vooch.

Could even slide CJ, or Elf at the 2 moving Mario to the 3.

That gives us alot of flexibility aswel as depth, fixes our two glaring issues (PG play, and a 5 who can't defend). Vic has been playing fantastic playing next to a PG who can stretch the floor and Conley does that while bringing many more things to the table than BJ.

We didn't show interest this off season and don't expect us to show any all of sudden.

Especially when there's so many better players available via trade/free agency.

I agree he's a slightly better version of Dedmon.

I'd absolutely sign Bismack if the Magic go forward with Vooch. He's exactly the kind of backup C this team needs - bringing interior defense and consistent play. He's 4th in the NBA in rebound %, 2nd in block %. He would bring elite level skills in areas that this team lacks.

I'd personally like to see the magic move Vooch and try to bring in Whiteside or Ezeli, but if it's not realistic going hard for Bismack is a good idea.

Thought BB was on a multi-year deal?
The future is bright 8-) Payton said. ``I just want to keep getting better and maybe one day I can be the all-time all assists leader for the Magic.’’
