Milestone for Z-Bo
Randolph gets his first triple-double of his career and, of course, it comes against his former team, the Los Angeles Clippers. DJ couldn't handle him tonight.

Tony Allen is going to be a issue in the playoffs. I can see him making JJ have some games like this again.

i mean how much better would this team have been had we moved crawford instead of barnes for lance. whatever. can't wait for ballmer to finally figure out how horrible doc is in the front office so he can get axed.
Barnes would play Luc's role, with Johnson backing him up. Lance would get to be a primary ball handler off the bench without Jamal there.
It's arguable that the team would be better. Remember many of us did want that.

Wondering what's taking Ballmer so long to get Doc out of this role?
He doesnt have people in his ear?
Pay a consultant.
something.
sheesh.

Well there's no point doing anything now, any such move would need to wait until the off-season.

This team has first-round exit written all over it.

Re: Game 68: Los Angeles (43-24) @ Memphis (39-30)
The problem of course is that you still have Pierce and Rivers Jr, and they are issues too.
The off-season best case scenario is to not have Jamal, A.Rivers and Pierce coming back. Jeff Green hasn't earned himself more than a $3 million/year contract with how he's played so far, so unless he's going to do something special in the post-season, I'm not sure what he's expecting.
They can be replaced with minimum players, but as long as these are better fitting minimum players. Doc needs to go into this off-season without a "we'll just collect talent and figure it out later plan", there needs to be a plan of what kind of team and roster your are trying to build.
/end rant, but outside of that, it is one loss, and Blake is still not playing. Things change when you add him, but those guys still need to go.

But there was a point in doing something before we traded for Geoff Green.

while i agree and completely understand your logic, this does not seem to be what doc is capable of doing. it's been what, 3 years in a row since we've asked doc to just bring in defenders? yet here we are in the end with seemingly an endless array of chuckers and guys who just want to score points (even if they aren't good at it). it's absurd

Clippers are 43-25. One loss away from matching last season's record and sustainability. Two losses away from complete regression.
You beingg a FLaker fan, I'm sure you're thrilled.

Re: Game 68: Los Angeles (43-24) @ Memphis (39-30)
someone please explain why jamal played more than jj and what in the world was Austin doing on the floor that late in the game. please do not say it was for defensive purposes. sure jj had a tough time with tony but that was a team effort. screens were not very good and then they gave up on it. when jj misses a couple of shots they then try to get guys who really can't shoot, well you know what I am saying. plus tony is a poor shooter and he just had a good night. I will be surprised if he does that in the playoffs. he will surely give jj a rough time but jj will win that fight in a series.

Now with Farmar being signed by the Grizzles they have four former Clippers- all with axes to grind to a greater or lesser extent. It could be a very tough first round match up.
Hopefully Randolph doesn't have a flashback like that again. Also, I don't know that I've ever seen Tony Allen make a jump shot unless he is playing against the Clippers. Very annoying.
Doc made a big mistake playing JJ only 24 minutes or so. Yes, he may struggle against Allen, but he'll eventually break through- or run him out there with the 2nd unit when Allen isn't out there.
