He is avg 17pts 6reb all while shooting 50% 40% 3PT and 87% FT He loves playing over there and its showing. Its moves like these that make me miss SVG.

Good for them. I'm glad that Stan Van Gundy was finally able to get Detroit to a .500 team after a tough eight years of rebuilding.

You are probably right, I can't imagine why Harris wouldn't be able to hold up his current %s'. This 15 game stretch is much more realistic as to what kind of player he is.

Pretty soon SVG will transform this roster into a championship contender:

Reggie Jackson | Caudwell-Pope | Marcus Morris | Tobias Harris |Andre Drummond
+ Stanley Johnson

It is not from disliking him. Tolliver may just go out of the price range. And, if they have a shot at Ryno or someone else, they may go another route. Otherwise, they may resign Tolliver. He was decent on defense and from the 3 earlier this season, but past 2 months, Tolliver has played poorly on D and 3's.

Ryno is probably out Detroits range. He's eligible for a Mid-Tier Max ($27.6m) and teams will at least get close to it if not outright max him out. Seems crazy but he's definitely in the +$20m range this summer.

He is a backup on most teams. I doubt he breaks $15 if not closer to $12.

All it takes is 2 teams who really want Anderson to push him past that $20m mark. I'm willing to bet there's going to be at least 2.

If it comes down to is a 2 year $40 mil offer or a 4 year $60 mil offer. I bet he accepts the 4 year deal.

Nobody will offer him 4 year $80 mil.

If Tobias Harris is earning $16m per, I can't see how Ryan Anderson isn't at least getting that with the market conditions being what they will be this summer. When the talent pool starts dwindling - I'm guessing there is a pretty high chance some team will overpay for one of the better stretch 4's who is entering the peak of his prime.

I think more teams will just try to hit the Salary floor and shoot for 2017 free agency. Ryno won't command that much cuz he ain't that good. He is a role player. Role players dont command $20G's

The salary floor will be $82m this summer so there's going to be lots of money that has to be spent. Another thing that I think is going to affect this summer's free agency is that contracts signed this summer will be much cheaper than contracts for similar players next summer due to to 2017 being the salary cap peak ($110m) - which then drops back down to below $100m in 2018. I'm curious to see how teams manage that.

I guess context does matter a lot for Anderson. Still his numbers are better than Harris' - so probably in the mid to high teens is his $ floor this summer.

Numbers or not. Harris is young and improving. Numbers can be deceiving as Anderson is much worse on Defense etc.

Anderson is only 27 and Harris has already played 8000 minutes. He's got some growth, but he's pretty close to being what he'll be. Guess we'll just have to wait and see on Anderson's price tag.

I think Ryno will be looking st something like 4 years / $70m.

Happy to be quoted as wrong if it doesn't happen but I really feel he'll be pursued by enough teams that he'll get a deal at that level.

I don't know about that. I have witnessed players turn the table at ages 25-27. If anyone is motivated to prove people wrong, the ceiling can always be much higher through hard work. Who knows with Tobias how hard his motivation is. Will be interesting to see.

Agreed.

I don't miss Tobias at all, regardless of our record. It wasn't working here, we dumped him for cap space, let's see how that turns out.

I think the only people it will be intense for is fans. Tobias probably goes in with a chip on his shoulder but other than that, just a regular game for everyone.
