Bench Force One is back. Thanks Clifford.

I thought a backcourt of Lin-Lee would've been more confident considering how off of a night Kemba was having, and how in-the-zone the other 2 guards were.

Kemba is by far my favorite player on this team, so it's not about that. I know Kemba is our closer, but that could've backfired a bit too. Glad it didn't and we got the W.

Definitely think Lee should have been closing alongside Lin. Lee's defense is terrific, he was lighting it up offensively as well in this game. We don't win without his D and his surge in the 3Q offensively. And look what happens on the last play, Lee is in for a big steal.

I think the correct decision was to play another ball handler. The Spurs could've really started trapping Lin high up top like they did Curry the other night and that was prevented somewhat by having Kemba and Lin on the floor together. It was a tough call but I think ultimately the right one.

He could've also gone offense-defense earlier although he did right there at the end.

Do you guys still want to let Lin go after this season? Some NBA scribes and even local sports journalists here in the Philippines were raving about Lin's play last night.

i don't think there is any consensus of wanting Lin to go next season. I think, perhaps, on this board most fans want him back. It's a matter of for how much after other big FAs on the team are dealt with (mainly Batum if he's back).

I think it comes down to Lin or Lee, bc I doubt we can have both. This is assuming that we offer Batum a fair market deal to retain his services. I love Lin here, but also enjoy Lee here. Lin has been a huge get this year and though he's had some pretty awful stretches this year, when he's on... he's on. That being said, Lee is starting to get comfortable here and meshing well between Kemba, Batum and Marv.

Reddit is killing me right now

There are several threads up at the moment in r/nba about the Hornets and Lin. One of them was a thread created immediately after the first quarter when the Hornets only had 7 pts...needless to say, lots of schadenfreude in there right now. And the post game thread has blown up, several hundred more comments than the typical thread for a small market Hornets postgame.

Lots of hilarious comments and responses. Like:

I was glad to see JLamb back as well.

There is no Bench Force One without JLamb. He's the wings, Lin is the pilot, Frank is the stewardess lol, and now I guess Albus is the co-pilot that get drugged up, high, and fall asleep missing assignments.

Except that MKG is the leader of the team.
In my opinion (and for others here and elsewhere)), it's either Lee or Batum.

Anyway, what will help this franchise turn into a contender is at center position. Cody is the ideal rotation, but Charlotte badly needs a top center (which means, young, good defensively, and not a liability on offense). Which means it makes no sense overpaying for the backcourt unless you somehow find the ideal piece in the draft. And by overpaying, i also mean Batum. Anything above 20M/y would be silly to me, except for a short term. I hope Nic will accept something in the matthews range, that would already be a wonderful contract for a 'glue guy' (since this is how he considers himself).
If the hornets cannot find that center from trades/FA/draft this year, they should not jeoperdize their flexibility even if Jordan is willing to spend now. Cho and the front office did a really awesome job (and they will get praised even more if the hornets gets through the 1st round) but they will have tough choices that won't satisfy everyone.

Yeah, that video confirms what I said earlier in the lin thread:

Lin is at his best working left to right, weaving through the lane rather than trying to ram it straight down the enemy's throat. See 2:10 in.

Lin is also best looking for his own shot when he's flowing. At one point, he ignores a teammates open at the 3, to take and make a jump shot in transition.

Lin was also looking for his 3.

I guess prayer does work.

It seems like this is a bit different from the usual Geisha look, it reminds me of goat horns.
