This game scares me.

I still think we'll win, but it scares me.

Brooklyn no longer has Joe Johnson, so that is a plus. The only thing I worry about is the slow first quarters. Play them even at the start, and then put the Nets away in the second half. Perhaps Cody Zeller should stay on the floor longer at the start of the game, if Brooks Lopez does.

The loss against Denver, oddly, gives me a bit of optimism. I hope we learned our lesson the first time and won't be caught sleeping like that again.

The @hornets Injury Report for tonight at Brooklyn:
Marvin Williams (sprained left ankle) - QUESTIONABLE
MKG (right shoulder surgery) - OUT

Looks like Hawes is fully back, though does not seem likely that he'll get any PT. I do think he was a big part of BF1 with his ability to spread the floor and interest in creating offense with his passing. Curious if Cliff will try to get Hawes any minutes.

If Marvin doesn't play , Thad is gonna be a hard cover for Frank. Although I find Frank to be a bit underrated on defensive - well minus rim protection.

Nets have been giving up a boatload of points recently (something like 115 ppg over the last 6), hornets should coast to victory tonight. The two Jeremy's > nets starting backcourt

Will be an interesting rotation if Marv is out. Does Frank start, or do we try to plug Hawes or even Al in with the starters next to Cody? If Frank does start, does Tyler play at PF? Can't imagine we run Hawes and Al together.

Play Bats at PF and have him guard Young. It's not like they have any wings worth a damn to have to guard.

Kemba - Lee - Lamb - Bats - Cody
JLin - Daniels - Frank - Big Al

Lamb starting is not in the realm of possibilities, IMO. Frank may start for Marv if Marv doesn't go. I think Marv may go and play somewhat limited minutes since he's not missed any games and is questionable, not doubtful. But if not, I think Frank starts. There's a remote possibility of Hawes starting but he's probably too rusty. And there's a possibility of Lin starting and Lee going to SF while Bats shifts to PF. Cody and Big Al probably don't work because Cody is not much of a perimeter player.

Odd timing for that comment considering the run Bogdanovic has been on lately - last 3 games: 44, 26, 19. He's been averaging about 17 since the ASB.

Put Lee on Bogdan.

Anyway, I see the point of playing Batum at PF, frees up time for a red hot Lin as well. Then again, we still have not seen Cliff go to a small lineup for more than about 5 minutes all season - despite the fact that he talked about it this summer.

Regarding Hawes, does he have to play some of the remaining games to be playoff eligible? Maybe time for Cliff to work him back in even if it is very restricted minutes. Against the Nets is the perfect time.

I hate the idea of Cody and Al playing together. It's never worked out well this season. But, that was before we added Lee, but I still can't see how he could shift the chemistry enough to make it work.

Hawes passing on the second unit would be exciting to watch tonight , he can replace Frank while Frank gets a bump to starter. Hawes and Jefferson on defense is a nightmare but it's the nets . Who's gonna kill em, trob? Willie reed?

Marv out, Frank getting the start, Hawes expected to play all per @HornetsPR.

So if Hawes is back, does he join Al on the second unit? Odd fit. Maybe Hansbrough plays the 4 with Hawes only playing if needed.

That's the problem with the center rotation. 3 guys who are good at only a couple of things. Al with his post up offense, but no D or range. Cody with his hustle and D but no offense from post or 3. Hawes with his 3 point shooting and passing but no post moves and mediocre D.

Hornets need a 2 way center.

Roll out an all center lineup of Big Al, Psycho T, Hawes, Cody, Frank. Battle Royale. Last center standing gets to be starter.
