We are the real deal and a big, a HIGE reason, for that is our coach.

He's obviously a players coach as well as being an X's and O's coach as well as being an offensive coach as well as being a defensive coach as well as showing versatility and a willingness to experiment.

He's like a mini-Pop.

How quickly can we extend his extension? I want him here long term. Very, very long term.

You are absolutely right. Clifford doesn't get enough love on this board. Sure he has a few things he does that drive us mad, but overall, he's a really good coach.

I believe we interviewed Bud, Snyder, and Cliff all at the same time. Are people taking Cliff if we get to revise history? He's definitely been the most stable coach we've had since I've been watching Hornets games consistently.

Should be getting mentioned for coach of the year.

Cho should get credits for interviewing all these quality coaches with less fame...

I wanted Snyder at the time (really loved the way he spoke about the P&R and running it from the 1,2,3 and 4 positions - plus he has great hair) but with the benefit of hindsight I wouldn't want to change our reality.

I'd absolutely want Coach Cliff for us.

I remember I wanted Joerger but outside of that I wasn't too high on other potential coaches and I knew Budenholzer wasn't coming here. We were the Bobcats then.

Much credit goes to coach cliff for his flexibility. I did not think this team could make the transition it has in one year. A lot of that is due to the players we've brought in but coach deserves a lot of credit for how he's implemented this style of play.

He should also thank Cho for getting him coachable high IQ team players. (Spurs like?)

Walton performed one of the most fantastic coaching jobs I have ever seen. Think of all the many ways to screw up a championship team. Instead, they came out of the gate and steamrolled everyone. Most folks do not give him credit enough.

My guess is that Popovich gets the nod this year.

there are so many good coaching this season.... Pop, Kerr/Walton, Casey, Stevens, Clifford, Carlisle...
it is hard to choose.... I suggest they should change the vote for the worst coach of the year (WCOY), Byron will be the runaway winner, mitchell has a slim chance to steal it from Byron, but basically it is two men race...

Cliff has exceeded all of my expectations. Just off the top of my head, I'd say he's among a handful of the best coaches in the assoc. right now, no worse than top six:

Stotts
Pop
Kerr
Stevens
Cliff

IMO, the media always liked Clifford but it's so great to see that more people are hopping on the BRD wagon.

I don't know how Cliff is doing this without Hendo.
It has been written...
