The 3s are falling, on both sides.

Great win! I'm glad we chose to run up the score a bit in the end. They did the exact same thing on Monday.

Great bounce back game from Dennis...offensively we basically just hit the shots we missed money. Much better performance defensively

Hawks vs Wizards II: Revenge of the Fallen

This was a big win, and these next 3 winnable games are also all very big.

We have the toughest schedule remaining, among the four teams fighting for 3rd. Maybe we luck out and have the Cavs and Raptors rest some starters in one of their meetings against us, but we need to win these other games (against teams not named Toronto or Cleveland), if we want to have any hope of being 3rd.

^
Milwaukee
@ Detroit
@ Chicago
Those three are for sure winnable games and should be no question.
Toronto is the fourth game, followed by Cleveland.

Shouts out to Dennis and it looks like there is no slowing down for Hardaway Jr.. Him and Thabo are looking like the better option at the 2/3 over korver/Bazemore but they seem to have good synergy with dennis and scott. Our starters struggled tonight and this would have been a guaranteed loss in December. Now, our bench is as good as our starters on some nights and they can extend the lead when our starters are struggling.

WAS fans seem supremely impressed by Dennis's performance last night:

M.V.P.

It’s a tad batty to ponder how much Dennis Schröder affected the game in so little time on the court (20 minutes and 17 seconds), but it happened: 23 points, 8 assists, 4 rebounds, 3 turnovers; 9 attempted shots (7 makes), and 9 attempted free throws (8 makes).

Two groups of Schröder-led Hawks did the damage:
1.Schröder, Hardaway, Kyle Korver, Mike Scott, and Al Horford:
+13 (9.3 minutes)
2.Schröder, Hardaway Jr., Thabo Sefolosha, Paul Millsap, and KRIS HUMPHRIES:
+15 (4.6 mins)
Truth About It

The first nine and a half minutes of the first quarter were like an extension of Monday’s nights game between these two teams...Then, at the 3:16 mark of the first quarter, both Garrett Temple and Dennis Schröder entered: a shift in the balance of power.

Schroeder shredded Washington’s defense, making the Wizards pay for dipping under screens. And Temple simply could not guard him. Temple picked up two quick fouls and found himself right back on the bench, but not before Schröder engineered a 7-0 run to cut the Wizards’ lead to 25-22.

Schröder drove by John Wall and Garrett Temple with ease, got his baskets (8 points) and spread the floor so that Paul Milsap and Tim Hardaway Jr. (4 points) could occasionally get theirs, too.

...On the Hawks side of the ball, there was just one standout reason why the Wizards came up woefully short: Dennis Schröder, the 6-foot-2 point guard who hit them with the roughneck business.
