Im scared we will end the season on a good note and Rambis gets hired.

Win, Toronto pick gets worse, Rambis stays

or

Lose, Rambis gets replaced, Toronto pick gets better.

rambis won't be here next season unless its as an assistant

People need to understand that Phil and Rambis are friends, maybe even best friends. Although Rambis isn't the future head coach, that's not going to stop him from having a position in the front office or on the bench.

Everyone, including Rambis knows these final 10 games will be his last as the Knicks' head coach.

Does anyone realize that Grant's rookie stats are as good/if not better than Teague's rookie stats? Interesting.

i don't know about best friends but Phil certainly respects him and won't throw him under the bus

however if he's coach next year i would be stunned!

It has to be thibs

nothing else makes sense

when you look at the bulls team they have - granted they have had injury issues - they are probably not making the playoffs despite top 3 in the east talent
yet with Thibs year after year - and with equal injury issues and less depth - they challenged for best in the east

its clear that coaching is the difference

imagine what we could do with some inspired coaching?

I'm cool with KP and Melo being in our future. Keep building. Fuq LeBum. We will get there. Give it time.

No. We want Melo gone because he is not a winner and never will be.

Capiche?

Same goes for KP.

Got it?

For the love of all that is holy, I KNOW HE HAS BEEN DEALING WITH MINUTES & INJURIES.

Him hesitating to take shots, immediately passing back a shot he gets when he is healthy has nothing to do with him dealing with a injury and sickness. I can point out games earlier in the season when he played passive, I can go back to around the All Star Break when he had games of him going through the motions but people labeled it as him hitting the wall & I gave him benefit of the doubt. Still doesn't mean he hasn't played soft for good portions of the season. Like geez I'm pointing out some things I see him play poorly but when he plays well I'm fully supportive.

And that Boogie jail sh*t really is uncalled for, like seriously chill with that dumb sh*t.

Please tell me you're joking about your "if you talking **** say it to my face." shtick. You can't honestly be that dumb and immature. Your opinion is just wrong bro sorry if that offends you. You should realize that KP is learning his role in the NBA. He's 20 years old of course he's going to be passive at times. Of course he is going to defer to veterans when he's not feeling it. That does not make him soft, he's just a kid. Is Grant soft? No one calls him soft for being passive most of the year, but I know why you'll hear people say KP is soft first.

This is my last response on this then I'm going to bed, not gonna continue this tomorrow, Friday or any other day.

When you tell me I don't know ****, I should have my card revoked, I'm not knowledgeable, where I am from those aren't words you just willy nilly say. Let's be real if you see someone in the street and you're having a convo with them about the Knicks and they say you don't know ****, you're not knowledgable, you should stop being a fan, I'm pretty sure it's not gonna be all good with you.

I'm from a hood where you speak like a man & you don't disrespect someone if you don't wanna have your card pulled.

You're not gonna type behind a screen, say those things & honestly think there won't be a reaction. I'm not someone who believes in going back & forth trading insults, you say something I deem disrespectful, I'ma say iite cool meet me in person say what you gotta say. Nothing about being "dumb & immature" it's about defending your self-respect.

As far as KP goes, I don't expect him to be a superstar in his rookie year, he's supposed to be a project. With that said everyone is up for criticism, just like everyone is up for praise. When he defers, when he shies away from contact, when he sizes up & doesn't take advantage of a 6 inch mismatch, I will call him soft. When he attacks in rhythm, when he scores against a shorter guy with ease, when he demands the ball, I won't call him soft, it is that simple. And Grant was called being scared & having a deer in the headlights many times this season.

Soft is a strong word. Over willingness to defer and being tentative at times would seem more accurate to me. Either way I don't expect these tendencies to linger.

Yea but Jerian is 37 years old. He can't get better.

Also Reggie Jackson, Dragic, Bledsoe, Billups, Gary Payton, Nash, Baron Davis, Terrell Brandon, Mookie Blaylock, Mark Price, Conley, Kemba, Lin, McCollum, George Hill, and so many other PGs throughout the years have struggled as rookies, and sometimes even longer.

Said it plenty of times before, but Jerian has all the tools to be a starting PG in this league. If his shot keeps coming along (was always more mental than physical to me, as he has good form and was a solid shooter in college) I don't see any glaring weaknesses with him. He can drive, pass, and D up with very nice size/athleticism. Learning the triangle has made a tough adjustment to the NBA even tougher for him, but he's getting more and more confident every game.

As Knick fans we're so conditioned for our rookies to be let downs, but we'll see if Kris and Jerian can break the trend. I believe they will. Their upside is obvious.

Ha, goodnight.

Ha you have no clue man. I actually played a D1 sport. Went through a lot of injuries and illnesses in 4 years. It is what it is. What I did has nothing to do with KP though so I don't see why that's relevant. You seem to have a real attachment to the dude. Me nor Breezey want KP to fail we've just pointed out his shortcomings but, apparently if you say a bad word about KP it gets you crucified around here. I've commented on melo's shortcomings too and everyone else's it's not a special hate for KP it's just being real. This board did the same thing with Shump, Landry, etc. It's time we be real. While you guys will get emotional if KP doesn't live up to GOAT expectations I'll be happy because I realize his floor is like Serge Ibaka and then I'll be the one defending him on here while everyone rags on him. I've seen it too many times...

Is it church in here or nah?

his what?! Come on bro... Ibaka? KP is a shoting guard in a 7'3 body who can actually shoot but you give him that floor.

For all his faults (and there are a ton) Rambis has done a nice job of managing Grant. You guys can kick and scream about him not starting but, he never earned it. Putting him on the bench, sitting him next to Cleamons, and pretty much letting him know that if he's not aggressive or makes dumb mistakes he's not going to play seems to have worked wonders on Grant. I applaud Kurt for this. Now I think he should maybe see some more minutes. He was terrible for a long time. Glad he's progressing we can really use him next year.

Kp let him hit all those 3s, so he can get his carrer high, but he didn't fouled him in the end, so he himself can get 30.. I hope KP told him that..

Actually, KP was only assigned to him on two of his baskets (one of them being the garbage time 3-pointer) and that one shot he drew the foul from 3. Derrick Williams' sh*tty defense was what got him hot earlier in the game.

Grant IS more of a point guard, right? He's starting to look like another scoring combo guard, but maybe that is just the system.

if we win tonight we push Chi 1.5 games out of 8th behind Det with Wash closing in from behind

its amazing that one of those three teams at least won't make the playoffs

if you had a poll right now i bet you 90% say they think the Knicks would be in the playoffs this year if Jackson had put any effort into building the backcourt and maybe also if Grant had been given more playing time. thats not hating and i bet most feel that way and thats on Jackson who cancels out every good thing with something bad. the frontcourt would be enough to compete this year but nothing happens with half a starting unit

Grant is a scoring guard that has the ability to also pass.

You don't want point guards on your team in the current NBA.

Now all the knicks need is for wroten to be the other scoring guard, or pray westbrook wants to join the team.
