Beggars can't be choosers. When was the last time we made the playoffs? What have we accomplished in free agency? Exactly.

Washington 2.5 games outside playoffs with 11 to play.

Currently equal 12-13th pick.

Whatever just as long as Minny doesn't catch us, we are three games ahead. They have a brutal schedule, most beatable opponents are the Pels/Kings who we share, but with KAT you never know, must lose that upcoming head to head game vs them as a precaution

Zero. Except he has a chance with Lebron. You missed that important fact.

ESPN has a mock draft / lottery thing up.

LAL won the lottery.
NOP moved up to 2.
Kings moved up to 3 (but swap with the 76ers)
Philly moves back to 4.
PHX gets 5.

With that, they have:

5. Phoenix Suns

Henry Ellenson
Marquette
Freshman
Forward/center

Pelton: Not only is Ellenson the highest-rated available player in my consensus projections, he's also an ideal fit for the Suns. After trading Markieff Morris, Phoenix doesn't have a good young player at power forward and has been starting centers Tyson Chandler and Alex Len together -- hardly a long-term solution as, around the league, power forwards are drifting out to the perimeter.

Ellenson brings the ability to stretch the floor, having made 30 3-pointers as a freshman (albeit at a disappointing 28.8 percent clip), but doesn't sacrifice rebounding like current power forward Mirza Teletovic.

It seems like Ellenson would be the guy we draft if we pick in the 4-6 range (based on the mock lottery machine).

I know Simmons is the guy people are talking most about but I really want Ingram. If defense and length is how to combat a team like Golden State, he seems like a sure thing.

Someone is going to figure Golden State out and things will get more competitive soon. My money is on Pop. Once he figures it, everyone else will mimick it and Golden State will be back down with the rest of the league.

There is.

You switch on Curry.... Never lose focus on the switch. Make him pass it. Or give him the lane then quickly take it away forcing him to do fancy stuff inside.

Rather Draymond Green or Barbosa or Rush attempting 5 plus 3pters than Curry... Or Klay. These guys embrace shooting long distances.... The others still have that mentality that 3s are high risk shots.

I remember the Bucks gave them real problems in both games (beating them once). Their length was a huge reason why.
I agree though that in time teams will figure them out.
Or, if they re-sign Barnes to max, then in a year or so when Curry is due a max deal, they'll need to decide how they want to maneuver their roster to not be paying the tax (assuming they won't want to).

Not easy to mimic having Kawhi Leonard and LaMarcus Aldridge. Both of those teams are historically good, and also have some great players. The best way to have a chance is have premier defenders on their shooters as well as phenomenal shooters yourself. Not easy to achieve.

At this point I actually think the Nets are just trolling us and Celtics fans. They have nothing to play for anymore so they may as well get some fun out if it. Brook Lopez is probably browsing the Celtics board on RealGM as we speak, cracking up laughing...
