Really?... Is that what you took away from that post?

Did you even read what he wrote, or did you just instantly ignore it because you didn't like what he had to say?

There's some valid points in there, but how is someone supposed to carry a conversation when you ignore everything they say? At least try to listen to what he's saying. Or counter some of his points. Listen, life's not always as easy as you want it to be bud.

You've made it abundantly clear that YOU want Russell at SG. Great, we know that. And, we know it's because you don't feel Russell is a good passer. We got it. I promise you, we got it. Everyone has heard what you're saying. Btw, he does play shooting guard at times. He does both. He's a combo guard.

Do you know why everyone else wants him at point guard though? Including everyone in the Lakers organization. Do you know why many many people who get paid a hell of a lot of money to do this for a living want him at PG? I don't think so man. Everyone has heard your point that "Russell is not a good passer" and they've tried to explain to you why he's still a PG and you ignore everything they say.

Funny, now that I've written this I realize you're probably ignoring most of this also Lol. No worries man, It's all good.
You are correct, I don't think that D'Angelo is a good passer, I said that he is a great passer, "a great passing shooting guard".

LOL WE KNOW THAT! WE KNOW THATS WHAT YOU THINK... Lol

I'm telling you, you've already made that clear lol That's how I know you ignored what I wrote, because you thought by adding the "great passing SG" was clarifying something lol.

We know you think he's a SG. Being a PG isn't just about passing though lol. That's what you're not getting. Ahhhhh man you're a funny dude warrenpeace.

When Magic Johnson was D'Lo's age he was a "great passing PF" lol. Expect he wasn't... He was a point guard lol.

BTW, inb4 warrenpeace takes what I just said and completely twists it around... Edit, Incoming: All of Magic's statistics.

You know that Magic played point guard all his life and won a national championship at Michigan State as the point guard. D'Angelo on the other hand has said that he has never played point guard before. He also said that his favorite player was Manu Ginobili (a shooting guard). In D'Angolo, we have a very talented player who was probably the best player every time he stepped on the court. If he never played point guard, that's because he never wanted to. I can't see any coach recruiting him, telling him that he can't play point guard, if that's what he wanted to play.

That's exactly why you give him the opportunity to play point guard. He's got the opportunity to be an extraordinary PG or he can be an average shooting guard.

With D'Lo you have a kid who is:
1. A very good passer
2. A very good ball handler
3. Even though he's played very little PG he knows how to read an offense...
4. And, has shown he knows how to run an offense
5. He can post smaller guards
6. He can score near the basket
7. He's got a great mid-ranged shot
8. Can shoot the 3
9. Has shown some flashes of being able to hit clutch shots
10. And, Has a good basketball IQ.

If you allow him to play PG now you can always switch him to SG whenever. But if you force him to play SG now you sacrifice the continued development of skills #'s 1-5 (listed above). You cut his skill set in half just so Huertas can start. That's the same reason why Kobe played a ton of PG when he came into the league. So he can continue to develop his skill set at the NBA level. Even though he definitely was a Shooting Guard.

That's why SG makes NO sense. Because first off, he's a PG lol, but let's say in some strange world he turns out to be an SG then you just switch him whenever. Huertas is gonna play, and as they grow it'll all figure itself out, but you don't sacrifice your #2 pick's potential just so Huertas can start.
