I think we could put ourselves in position to benefit from a bidding war.

Possible. Maybe they deal Okafor or saric for the pick and knight.
We then resign tele.

Looks like the wiz are about 4.5 ahead of the 10th seed. So chances are, that pick will be ours this season

Pick 1 and 12 would be nice.

Whoa whoa whoa - that is terrible. The pick AND Knight? And we just get one of those two? :nonono:

I would do that deal for Jah but not Saric, Knight is a complete afterthought we should be elated if he has any suitors.

Not sure, but people could also criticize or say something like "serves him (or them) right for tanking" if we blatantly threw games to finish ahead of Brooklyn and then they (Boston) leapfrogged us.

Or maybe his big board is much different than everyone else's and he either sees the top 7 as interchangeable or has someone (or perhaps two guys) who most have ranked between 6-10 at #1-2.

You never really know who ends up being the best guy in the draft anyway. 99% of people had Rose/Beasley as #1/2 in 2008 (similar to this year) and Westbrook went 4th and Love 5th.

99% of people had Irving/Williams #1/2 in 2011 and Kawhi Leonard went 15th and Klay Thompson went 11th.

if I was to speak from an unbiased, non-Suns fan perspective, then Brooklyn (Boston) deserves more lottery balls as we are relatively equal teams and they beat us twice. Otherwise, Brooklyn's/Boston's draft chances be damned.

If we are pretty equal and they beat us twice, proving they are better and we were worse, why would THEY deserve MORE lottery balls?

If two teams with an equivalent record face off in the playoffs the team with the better head-to-head record gets home court advantage. In the same vein, the Nets get rewarded for winning the season series. Two games played against each other is not enough to prove that one team is better than the other. In an ideal situation, yes the truly worse team should get the first choice in the draft but a team's record isn't the most objective way to define how good a team is.

Lottery odds for 3rd worst v 4th worst.

Top 1 Pick - 15% v 11%
Top 2 Pick - 31% v 24%
Top 3 Pick - 47% v 37%
Top 4 Pick - 69% v 47%
Top 5 Pick - 96% v 83%

If our pick falls out of the Top 3 after the lotto I' d definitely do it, but doubt Philly would be interested if the Lakers pick conveys and they have a shot at Dunn/Murray

My thinking is, Knight still has a long expensive contract. Currently overpaid.

Seeing as the talent drop off is pretty significant (on paper) after the top 2, I thought it's about right. Especially for a more sure thing like Okafor.

I'd love to be wrong though :)

Y'all would have dumped Keef for nothing, or even coupled him with an asset to get rid of him. Y'all need to chill.

I'm no fan of Jahlil. His fat *** can't defend ****.

Yeah, we look firmly set to get a late lotto with Washington and 4th best odds with ours. I've accepted being behind Brooklyn at season's end due to schedules and recent play (before the last game each team played) but if we can continue last night's effort and Brooklyn can continue the type of effort where they beat Cleveland, that would be very nice to stick to 3rd.

I'm really hoping the Suns realize that with 10 games left, it makes sense to sit Chandler and Knight.

Let Len, Booker, and Archie get minutes.

As BM said above, the 3rd pick is still in range if we play smart (tank - rest our guys)

We just better pray that Washington doesn't have Cleveland Cavaliers style luck in the lottery. That would be a disaster. Washington jumps into the top two, pushes the Suns down to 4th or 5th, no Wizards pick this year. Then they go on to the playoffs next year and the pick we got ends up in the 20's.

So unlikely, but this is the Suns we are talking about.

Indiana is shooting 50% from the field, 52 from 3 and 86 from the line but losing to the Brooklyn. Wat.

They came back from 10 down in the 4th. Lopez and Bogdanovic were money.
