It worked. I found the game on some random channel. Didn't get to pay too much attention, just a lot of distractions all around. Saw enough to be happy. BTW, I'm in the middle of **** nowhere, great view of Mt Mitchell. Drove thru downtown Forest City tonight, for the first time probably since I was a kid. Really cool downtown with the trees in the middle. Lake Lure, Chimney rock area is still as beautiful as I remember. The driveway into this place is about a 2 miles straight up a winding dirt road, about a 45 degree angle, or at least that's how it feels, then down about the same, pot holes and ruts galore. Wifi here is sketchy and phone reception is dead in areas. No TV in the room I am sleeping in. This might be my prison. LOL. I don't to vacations very well. I have everything I need at home, why would I want to leave?

Went out to eat with the family at some dive bar about 8 miles across another mountain and down a dirt road. Got there at 6:15, ordered at 6:25, didnt get food until 7:40. Who needs that ****?

I live in lake lure. And was in forest city today. We should have got together!

I went to a wedding at Lake Lure back in 2003.

Such a stunning place.

And yup, went and checked out the Dirty Dancing spot!!

Earplug, check, noise maker, check and neither will drown out the droning from that AC unit. Yes, I have massive OCD about sleep. Hardwood floors above me, where my nephews stomp around like they have cinderblocks as feet, that should make for some early morning fun. Oh, yeah and two dogs that will surely be up at the crack of dawn. Over/under on the amount of sleep I get tonight, set at 5 hours.

My snoring is going to end with you committing your first homicide.

At least you'll be able to plea temporary insanity.

Somehow that doesn't sound right, and if I say it's a mouthful it sounds even weirder. :banghead:

Maybe RiNiculous?

I'm gonna soundproof a room for you. Put the foam stuff you see in recording studios all over the walls.

The correct answer on over/under for my sleep was amazingly over. 1:30 - 3:30 slept great. Woke up at 3:30, nose running, allergies going bonkers (this past week has been insane), but no pollen really up here in the mountains, it was just the stale blankets and dank air coming from vents that have probably not been used much lately. Back to sleep at 4:00 - 6:30. Woke up by the pitter patter of dog feet walking on a hard wood floor above me, "Crap, the dogs are awake". Drifted back off at 7:00 to 10:00, when my house imposed "ninja time" expired, and the heavy walkers started walking with cinderblocks again. I've spent the majority of my life in multifloor houses, so I grew up walking on my tip toes, as quietly as possible. I don't understand those people who bang around when they walk. My #1 reason for why I will never, ever, ever live in an apartment with an upstairs neighbor, because 90% of the world is filled with inconsiderate pricks. Always take the top floor if you are in an apartment.

Happy Easter for the religious folks. Gonna eat some nice Easter ham today and hope I dont get dragged out to another local bar for food. That scary driveway is enough to keep me in the rest of the week. I swear I need to video the drive up and down that driveway and post on youtube.

Until next time on the continuing Adventures of Fats taking a vacation.

Cody got burned by Monroe in the 2nd half tho. Needs to bulk up in the offseason. He is a great asset in PnR D.
