Wade's a 13 year vet, he'll never develop a 3pt shot. That ship has long since sailed. As he's said when he was younger he'd dedicate offseason's to working on his game. Now though he uses them to work on his body. From here on out you're going to see Wade use all of his free time to make sure he can stay healthy enough to compete. Honestly even if he wanted to he doesn't have the luxury of devoting a ton of time to adding a 3pt shot.

Wade already has a good idea of what his game is and his goal is to make sure he can get to it and be effective with it for as long as possible. Mentally I just don't see him moving his game further out, we've already seen his transition to his old man game. At this point what you see is what you get.
Don’t let us get one. — Nikola Jovic

Dru Smith very lucky he got that 500k this year. He should invest and manage a subway after all this-MettaWorldPanda

Adding a 3pt shot is just going to make him regress all around. His body will get used to him camping out at the three or just being less aggressive. He'll age more quickly. Like adding rust.

Continuing to be aggressive will keep his body young and active.

Just going to the rim is a plus for this team. Even when he misses there's a good chance we get a whistle or Hassan/luol/stat can get a put back.

I agree. Wade and the team are better when he attacks the basket even when he doesn't score.

There's something special about watching Wade and Joe use their old man games. They aren't spring chickens, so it's interesting to see how they manipulate the defenders to get to their spots.

It's like Paul Pierce a couple years back. He was old as dirt and slow as molasses, but he found ways to get to the rim.

Remaining Games:

We have 3 back-to-backs in our last 9 games :-?

Lakers - W
Kings - W
(2nd of b-2-b) Blazers - L
Pistons - W
Bulls - W
(2nd of b-2-b) Magic - W
Magic - L
Pistons - L
(2nd of b-2-b) Celtics - W

6-3

49-33

Prob good for 4th or 3rd in the East.
If u don't want 2b here, the way things work, u don't like it, then don't b here. U have 2 stand on something. If Miami ain't standing on something, they become alot of these organizations trying 2 find their identity. This is the culture, bro -Wade

3-point shot is not necessary, if anything it would diminish his ability and would resort to Wade being not Wade.

Would Wade being able to knock down the occasional 3 really diminish his ability or are you guys just making up crap? I don't see anyone suggesting he become Klay Thompson but I'm not seeing how having a respectable 3 point shot hurts him or this team.

It might also be the same reason he gave up on the 3 ball.

Which one? The knee surgery back in college or shoulder surgery? Sucks.

Remember those few years like 2010-2013 with his hesitation on all of his jump shots? That stuff was so frustrating.

He's really gotten better at just being confident, rising up and taking the shot.
