We've actually reached the point where change.org is being used to campaign for sports teams to make personnel moves.

I loled. But yes, I would write a letter to the O.S. but they're a bunch of idiots who frankly I think could possibly be shills for the organization. Notice how every article they ever write always perfectly lines up with the agenda of Alex Martins? "The rebuild is a failure, we need to bring in veterans" next thing you know we are selling Tobias for one of Skiles' 'guys.' You better believe that will continue into the summer. Pissed off the Hezonja is barely getting minutes and is completely underutilized? Lets see how mad you are when we trade him for Taj Gibson or the like.

Actually no, I just found out about GM around yesterday. There seems to be more traffic on here than /r/orlandomagic so that's why I joined.

First post and that is to show your disgruntle towards Scott Skiles and promote his firing? Oh yeah, your gonna fit just right in here. :)

In all seriousness, I get P'od with Skiles sometimes but not to the point where I would promote or even consider this. It's not that serious man. Martins doesn't care about some random online petition.

Probably won't do much, but I'd welcome a firing if a better coach would like to join us over the Summer. If the move is a lateral move, probably does more harm than good.

The whole management needs to be on the same page, however. Can't be playing vets over our young guys and Skiles needs to get on board with it.

You just hit the nail on the head though, Skiles isn't on the same page and has his own ideas for the direct of the franchise. And here's a hint: that direction involves dumping a lot of our younger players.

First, you may be slightly po'd now, but just wait until summer when Skiles tries to get management to trade Payton and/or Hezonja. Just wait, I bet this petition will pick up steam around that time.

Second, if this petition gets over a thousand signatures I can guarantee you that it'll grab the attention of the organization.

Before the season started, most of the board would have been ecstatic if the Magic reached 39 wins. Now, they want to fire the coach for meeting their expectations.

If Skiles gets 50 wins next year, will there be mass suicides?

Really any coach outside of Pop wouldn't be good enough for this group, but this idiotic petition is proof that Skiles is a polarizing figure and its easy for people to use him as a scapegoat. Long nights of internet searches to find every iota of negative information produced "He used druuuuugs and had lots of sex with women in college." Which obviously nobody in here has done.

I was not a fan of Skiles when he was hired and my immiediate reaction when the Magic started taking a dive after the new year was to fire him. but honestly, this team is about the exact same as last years and im really thinking the roster is the problem. Most of the players are still young and inexperienced, and I don't think each players talents complements the others. it really is a case of what Skiles was given. even though we may disagree with his lineups, but he was desperate to find something that would work in order to win (even as going as far as to bench Oladipo). Can you really blame him? Tobias was traded because his talents did not complement others. he was not a fit here. he seems to be a fit in Detroit and good for him. but that trade was made to give a shot in FA. Whether they hit a home run or swing and miss in FA, that's on Rob.
Do I think Skiles will take the Magic to the finals eventually? no probably not, but he wasnt THE problem this year

Can you use change.org to get rid of posters???

I'm embarrassed to be associated with the juvenile antics of quite a few posters on this board(not all).
The opening post throws around opinion like it's fact, almost to the point of slander.
If you don't like Skiles, fine. I have no issues listening to opinions about why.

When a player comes out and states they have a problem with with Skiles is doing, then we have a legit problem. But, for the most part this team is still playing hard even with out key players.
I just don't know what some of you were expecting this year?

You know what the problem really was, management thinking they could make the playoffs. saying playoffs or bust at the beginning of the year was not smart. yes you get the fan base excited at the beginning of the year, only to let them down during the year. im just more worried that the impatience of management (more so Martins) will ruin this rebuild. im not ready to jump on hennigan just yet because I would like to see what the can do with money to spend to IMPROVE the roster. at this point he was told to build a roster from the draft and sign mediocre players (Frye, Watson) in FA. Took a chance for this year to see if they could win with this roster but not looking like its going to work going forward. I don't know the exact number, but somewhere of 50+ million to work with to sign some solid to great players, so lets see what he can do.

Read between the lines my friend. He's had a bone to pick with not only Elfrid, but Hezonja all year long. And yes, when he pushes to get both of them traded this summer we will in fact have a major problem.
