i don't know who David Pick is but I remember him bc his username is hilarious (IAmDPick). i think he broke some suns-related news a year or two ago, maybe during the Bledsoe negotiations. iirc, he was said to have good sources when it comes to int'l ball.

i still like Archie but if Bobo is coming here next year then Archie is as good as gone. bad enough we gotta find mins for Knight...

Haven't watched that dude play at all.. This forum makes it seem like he's the next Lebron though so I'm hoping he can come soon!

David Pick is the Euro Woj. Basically has a strangle hold on all Euro bball news.

We'll go from having no pure SGs on our roster to 2 really good SG prospects in B^2 and Book.

Makes both Knight and Bled a little more expendable as neither of them will be required to play the 2.

Also from the same guy..

I'm told Phoenix assistant GM Pat Connelly met with Maccabi, talked Dragan Bender.

I thought we trashed this guy for some other rumor before, don't quite remember which rumor that was.

Great to hear he's finally coming over. Haven't seen much of him outside of a few highlights and from what I've heard but if his game translates, then he'll be great for us.

If he becomes another Dragic that would probably be the best case scenario.
But my realistic scenario is that he turns into a really good role player.

We trashed him for the Sonny Weems rumor, IIRC. It became true, but he said he was the best wing in Europe, or the European LeBron, something like that.

He'll be way better than Archie, who can't get minutes from Price, Jenkins and Co.
Ceiling is definatley Dragic-like player on the wing.

I remember he broke LMA to Spurs and we hated and trashed him for it.

I have watched Bogdan several times including today, a replay of a Turkish league game. As I have said in another post don't expect him to become a star, even comparisons to Ginobili and Dragic are far fetched. Still he will be a glue guy, he is really very unselfish, basically the opposite of Knight, so you can expect from him to make the right play. What separates him from Goodwin is his better understanding of the game and better outside shooting.

OK. Goodwin with better outside shooting and more smarts. What about defense?

I have not seen anything special from Goodwin on the defensive end, so I don't thing it will be a downgrade. In general Bogdan plays a decent defense at least for the european standarts.

I think he can be a Belinelli Lite, with more playmaking skills/athleticism but not as lethal of a spot up shooter.

IMO probably the best description is Dragic Lite.

He is much bigger than Dragic though.

If he can be a Bellineli I'll be very happy. Bellineli was an integral part of the Spurs championship.

He has the potential to be an elite 3 and D player who has enough handles and playmaking to run the pick and roll a few times a game. Not sure why we have to pin him to a particular player comparison. There aren't many guys his size with his wingspan who also can make it rain from deep.
