Leap Year - The Kemba Walker Thread III

Post#1463 » by arthy704 » Tue Mar 29, 2016 9:02 pm

It seems to me his angle to his shot to release further away to his right has help the ball rest more on his finger when it's at its v point rather than his palm before release. which allows the ball to perform a better arch and less turbulence which allows the ball to have a bigger hole into the basket. I can tell he his releasing with the right finger which is the index which fixed his shot from missing left to right. Many people think that through high school even through college players are taught such little detail in release is in for a surprise. The magic is to even realized enough to know what detail in your shot is causing inconsistency. Happy for kemba now he will shoot light out for years to come.

The vast improvement in 3pt shooting is certainly the biggest difference in his improved play.

I think it certainly has to do with improved mechanics and surrounding him with better shooters but i think an underrated element is removing Jefferson and biyombo. Biyombo being a total zero left kemba getting trapped a lot and exerting more energy and less clean looks.

Zeller and kemba are a nice pnr pairing together. Surrounded by Lee and batum he's got shooters on the wing who can both make plays themselves as well.

He was definitely over burdened we all agree on that. I think he's put a lot of work into his shot the last couple seasons and he just so happened to have it all finally click into place at once instead of a more typical progressive improvement

Perhaps it's got something to do with Mark and Bruce?

Not as cool as Big Al's Paint or MKG Security, but I guess bonus points for making it topical.

ETA: this is fantastic...

I'm surprised they have started a Lin for 6th man campaign yet.

I think Mike Cristaldi has been the guy in charge of these promos. If so, he's been a great hire.

Yup. All of these are his ideas. He's such a genius.

When he was still in Minnesota, he came up with "Mr. Love Miracle Glass Cleaner".

Yeah he has an even smaller chance than Kemba winning MIP, and those chances are tiny

It seems to me the chance of Lin winning is a bit bigger than Kemba, cuz Will Barton has dropped off some and McCollum has too huge of an improvement from last year.

anyone else having problems seeing some of the embedded tweets and youtube links, such as the ones on this page? I noticed a one on the Batum thread that wasn't showing up as well.
