People don't really understand. People in this league throw teammates, coaches, staff, GM etc... under the bus for a yes or a no, but never oh never you hear anybody snitch on a sex/mariage/adultery related stuff. That's part of the (sport, lord I would even say men) NBA picture but that's how it is.

The only time those kind of stories breakout from the inside, is when two teammates are on the same girl and that kind of stuff.

In this world snitching is okay. Its actually encouraged. It's widely understood that athletes get a little extra on the road. Ditto with entertainers although you can group them one in the same. I don't see how you can bring either one back next year. At the same token if you think someone doing this isn't a deterrent to someone wanting to play in LA you're wrong. Talent wise Russell is a high ceiling player. That doesn't matter here. I don't think anyone is going to want to play in LA with Russell. Especially if they have a wife. No one needs to worry about a teammate selling them out to TMZ.

But the sad part about all this is that yeah some people consider what Russell did as the right thing. I'm not condoning cheating but you betrayed a teammate.

Anyone that can't understand that Russel is in the wrong here is brain damaged. It's a really scummy move to secretly record it in the firt place. Who cares if it coming out was an accident. I cant use the words here I would want to use to describe Russell.

Not really, this is how Sterling got outed.

Sterling got outed for racial issues. Everyone knows virtually every nba player cheats, many average joes cheat too. But there's no need for russell to disclose this kind of information, unless he wants to go through life looking for cheaters and telling their partners about it. I wonder who's next? I think Russell is the good guy in all this. I just don't view snitching as wrong I guess, or I didn't grow up in that culture. Reporting bad things that people do was a good thing.

the way the nba is having to travel together, be around each other for so long, its just a given that everyone knows everyone elses dirty laundry. sleeping with another teammates significant other would be a better sin than being seen as a guy who can't keep his mouth shut, and yet d'angelo found a way to even go BEYOND that with how insidious this was

Is this in the same line as thinking every man watches porn and calling anyone who says they don't a liar?

Maybe some NBA players are like kids in highschool, they want a boy/girlfriend so badly because "everyone else has one". Therefore, some NBA players and other professional athletes think cheating is an inevitable outcome for them because "everyone else is cheating".
