I'm not sure what the stats indicate but Harden must be in the very top end of second half players in the league this year and especially in the 4th. To me it seems in the first halfs he plays the passing game and tries to get people good looks but when the team needs him in the second half he just goes full bore atomic on offense. The Blazers game(34 second half points including 19 in the last), Raptors(26 second half points with 16 in the last)Spurs game( where he had 22 in the second half whilst being guarded by Kawahi in the Rox win in Houston) and even in the Pacers loss where he went crazy in the second half and many other games this season. He has had a lot more games then the sample sized examples I just talked about.

and imagine how much more capela would develop had he played more minutes
Fact is that momentum in games is a real thing, while not tangible itself, you can tangibly see the effect it has when teams are on runs and how it can dramatically effect the outcome of games when you can generate any momentum.

i notice that too, harden is the anti-kobe... in the first half other than getting the 2for 1 at the end of the half he rarely looks for his shot, he tries to get everybody involved
