Does that mean you know that Korkmaz means fearless?

I'm coming around on Bender, partly because the mystique of the unknown is always so damn alluring. I wanted Porzingis, Giannis and Gobert. I also wanted Petteri Koponen, Sergio Rodriguez, Rudy Fernandez and Victor Claver....so my judgment is hilariously hit or miss.
If Bender hits his ceiling, dude looks like a major contributor. I just don't know enough about him to assess how far he is from that ceiling.

The problem is few guys seem worthy. I know you two are high on Brown, and AtheJ on Dunn, but that isn't what we need. The simple draft is we once again had an abomination of a season in what is likely to be a very bad draft....at least in the short run.

Thing is half of your list for Wash pick have higher ceiling and could end up better player than him.I'd rather gamble on potential in weak draft like this than settle for a guy which has energy backup big written all over him.Let alone draft him 5th overall.I'd rather take Luwawu if he is available than Sabonis TBH.

I'm not really saying take him. I'd probably rather gamble too, but I will trust what McD does. The problem is he may be forced to look short term since he is in the last year of his contract.

If it were Gambo we would now have Sam Dekker instead of Booker, Gambo is horrible at evaluating talents.

I don't think he is our type of player though, and certainly not at 1-5. He's below the rim with limited outside range, IE. old school bustling PF.
If he shows range though at our workout, then he's going to climb and make things interesting for our Washington pick.
