totally bogus logic. reason nicholson squeaked the vest because gordon played almost as good if not better game that day, there was competition. today there was no competition, so a landslide. I swear you guys nitpick the most ridiculous things about vuc and I do not know why.

Vooch clearly deserved the vest today, and polls show. Nicholson did outplay Gordon prior, but he almost lost the vest. Bensational is pointing out that Gordon received the "superstar" voting from our poll, and Nicholson is still being hated on... Even though he's our best performer per36 over the last 5 games.

What are you talking about. Gordon definitely deserved his votes and a close poll between him and Nicholson was a given. The game was over by halftime when we were up 28 pts... AG had 14 pts on 7/8 fg and was +14 against the Nets' crappy starting unit and AN had 14 pts on 6/6 fg and +14 against their biggest scrubs. We had a 30 pt lead through 3 quarters and Gordon had 20 pts on 9/11 fg and was +19 while Nicholson still had 14 pts on 6/6 fg and dropped to +11. Clearly Nicholson should have won in a landslide because he got to score a handful more buckets in garbage time in the 4th while AG got to chill on the bench the entire quarter... SMH.

If anything, Fournier is the loser here. He scored 25 on 14 shots and was +19, yet he's in 3rd place... surely he deserves more than 5 out of 42 votes.

Eh, he had 1 assist and 0 rebounds (plus 4 turnovers) in 36 minutes. He had a great offensive game, but I'm not sure how you get a combined 1 ast/reb in 36 minutes.

I have to give it to Drews professionalism. Starting our the season DNP, then becoming part of the rotation, then going back to DNP and now back again as an integral part of the rotation. The dude knows his job. He shows up to work every day, staying ready, and when that number is called, he opens the door to the torture chamber. He will never be an elite player but is a solid rotation player who can be valuable if used the right way. Happy he is once again getting an opportunity. Stay consistent Drew!

Well I voted Vuc and have no problem with him getting most votes. But I wouldn't have been surprised with a close vote either since Fournier scored a lot very efficiently against Paul George. All I'm saying is out of nicholson vs gordon and fournier vs vuc in these last two vests, it's probably fournier who isn't getting enough credit for his performance. The other three got the credit they deserved.

It's just a sweater vest.. but I will say that people on this forum value "counting stats" more than actual impact a lot of the times.. I don't care if somebody gets 24/10 off the bench vs scrubs if a guy went 18/5 starting and changed the tide of the game by starting a big run + playing well against starters.

So AN shouldn't have won? He came off the bench? Vuc came in pretty quick because DD got 2 fouls, so he basically played with the starters in the first quarter.

I wasn't specifically referencing any player. I voted for Vuc. I think it's a shame Elfrid didn't get a vest from one of the last 2 nights before that since he was quarterbacking everything. It just so happens Dedmon had a career night (a lot thanks to Elfrid) and Nicholson was perfect from the field so I'm not mad at that either. So all in all I think anybody could've gotten it, I'm just saying in general that some posters veer that way... or like just giving somebody a vest because of a game winner even if they played poorly throughout the game. I don't know. It could just be that people value different things but I like when the impact is the entire game and against good competition.

I'm gonna go ahead and say it, because I'm probably the only one who will:

Aaron Gordon is only good at dunking and rebounding. He can't shoot and is pretty 1-dimensional offensively. His FG% is high because he dunks so much.

Take this however you want but, yes, my honest opinion is that Nicholson is the better player for our TEAM and should start at the 4. That said, I like AG over Fournier at the 3.

Lastly, I DO think Gordon will blossom into an eventual high-caliber player, but not until his next contract.
