But, if Kristaps does become the unicorn, then that all changes.

Not arguing that. I just want a guard as my guy vs a big, thus I like Booker's potential over Kristaps, so sue me. It is probably because of the success of Steph Curry vs Anthony Davis....

I guess your opinion changed a bit since the draft - totally okay, just lol. I guess being obsessed with Kaminsky and wanting other bigs before Book was just a phase.
Also, comparing AD to Curry is a bit unfair - I mean, AD is 5 years younger and can still improve a **** ton (and will look better when his GM gets his head out of his ass). Curry will improve as well, but AD is 5 years younger and just last year put up one of the best statistical years in NBA history on a **** team riddled with injuries.
Thats the thing about me, I'll admit when I am wrong. My opinion does change as reality changes. I go through phases often as I am now with Dunn, Hield, and Murray.
Edit: Dont get me wrong, I am not saying a dominant big isn't just as good as a dominant guard, I am just saying I am looking for the next Steph, not Shaq. The way Steph effects the game right now is insane. Ya, Booker probably won't be the next Steph, but I like how he controls the game a lot more than any big can. Didn't you see that giant discussion on TNT last night about Howard needed help from the guards to get the ball?

I'll admit I was wrong on Booker - I liked him, but did not foresee this. KP, on the other hand, I was dead right about and have been since the 2014 draft so yeah, go me.
I like Kris a lot too. The only reason I watch the Knicks. He is a beast, but he just happened to hit the rook wall while Booker is going insane, so maybe I am jumping the gun for the flavor of the month.
I get what you are saying. If both reach their potential Kris has a ceiling that possibly has never been seen before, I hope he reaches it. That would be good for all fans.

I read all of those links.......those were the days..... But, I believed those guys were better than Book, it just wasn't about them being bigs. I thought the bigs were the best players in our range last year.

Trey Lyles has seventeen points at the half.
Nemanja Bjelica has eleven points, six rebounds, and should have four to six assists (but only has one because we are trash).

Poor stretch of games by KAT standards in last four with three subpar games:
14/11
27/10
16/11
17/11
The rookie wall is real.

^^^ In fairness, he was pretty awful tonight. He got on fire and hit twelve of our points in a row, but then he began to have tunnel-vision, played abysmal defense, and struggled there on out. Probably his worst game as a pro.
On a positive note, Nemanja Bjelica was phenomenal.

When a rookie big man can put up 17-11 and have that effort be called his worst game as a pro, that tells you how impressive Towns has been this year.

5 straight games in double figures for Normal Powell. 13-24 from 3 over that stretch, and about one of these a game:

Exactly, couldn't have said it any better.
Yea, I guess you guys are right. I totally forgot that this was a big dominated league.....
irrelevant to the points we've made but ight homie.

Trey Lyles continues to impress anytime he gets more than 5-10 minutes in a game. Tonight he had 17 in the first half, he couldn't buy a bucket, even little chip ins in the second half, but he's showing he could be really good offensively with his size, shooting ability, and first step.

14 pts 4 ast 3 rebs 1 blk in 29 minutes
Grant with his first NBA start. Hes had issues due to really inconsistent minutes. Hope he finishes the season strong. Good thing Melo went to Rambis to make sure he plays the young guys. Gonna need to put up lots of 3 pointers over the summer. He has natural fade on his jumper and the difference in distance between the NBA and college 3 pt line really hurts him with his release.

I liked him coming into the draft, I was hoping he would fall to us (Portis fell instead so I'll take it). Rough rookie season but this looks like he had a good game. A couple of questions - Is he playing minutes primarily at PG? If so, how's he going running the offense? And also, how's he been on defense?

Lyles has been good - I was a bit luke-warm on him going as high as he did, but his play this season has won me over. Now you guys just need Exum to come back strong!
