I'll cross-post this here originally put it in the playoffs thread):

Tonight's game against Chicago is our most important game since May 30th, 2008. That's was Game 6 of the Conference Finals where we lost against the Boston Celtics (Even though we made the playoffs in 2008-9, none of those games were of much import as we had a team on the decline as an 8th seed with no shot and no future).

That means this is our most important game in 7 years, 10 months, and 3 days. Our most important game in 2,864 days total. Over 247 million seconds have passed since we have last played a game this important. That's 1/3 the lifespan of the average Bull (that doesn't get hacked up and served as a steak, that is). George Bush was still President when we last played a game this important. Fidel Castro was atop the Billboard charts. Lil Wayne just resigned as president of Cuba.

In short, we haven't played an important game in a looooooooooong time. Tonight is an important game.
Tom Gores' Securus faced a class action lawsuit in 2024. The company engaged in a "quid pro quo kickback scheme" with county jails in Michigan which banned in-person visits in order to maximize revenue from voice and video calls.

This is the most important game of the remaining important games (which is all the remaining games). Get it done Detroit.

Every game is important. I predicted a 6-3 at the homestand with a good shot at going 500 to finish the season. I thought we'd split games between Dallas and Chicago. If we win this game which is likely because we match up with them so well, then in hindsight it was a good loss. I believe we lost to Dallas because of Jackson. He was forcing everything. Just so bad when he's not aggressive driving in the paint. Not like Dallas has a shotblocker and neither does Chicago. So if Jackson goes hot in this game and he's been playing poorly, then we'll win it. Drummond also goes hot against Chicago. Check out the average against them!

The Rockets are in no way, shape or form "a lot better than the Pistons." They're a collection of talented head cases who don't play defense.

Pretty sure we swept Houston this year too. Regardless though, this is the NBA and anyone can beat anyone on any given night. Need to take care of business.

Hope the Pistons treat this as a playoff game and beat the Bulls.

Go Pistons.
