He's not going to surpass either of them, but makes this draft more interesting. He's going to rise up draft boards, especially in this draft.

Omg will people stop talking about Thon Maker like he's even going to go in the lottery. He's not that good right now. He will be lucky to go in the second round. He needs a lot of work.

That sounds exactly like what everyone said about giannis. That summary of his game turned out well for all the teams that let him slide.

Ok. And he he might not turn out as good as Giannis. He's far from ready to help a team. Maybe down the road he could become good but he has a lot of work to do.

Thon Maker will be the yearly debated player. Each year we have that guy people wanna throw into the mix. Looks like he's the annual Yi Jianlian. This happens every year smh.

If we get #1 we are taking Simmons. No way the new regime will pass on his "star power" regardless of fit.

Guys, I really don't know what I'll do if we don't get a top 2 pick... That will be so crushing. Apparently we have only a 49.5% chance at top 2.

If you can promise me Ingram turns into Paul George I may change my mind...he's unbelievable tonight and has had two nonsense calls go against him. Superstar play tonight.

I think that's it's possible that no matter where the Sixers end up in the lottery they could get Ingram. For example, if Boston was at 2 and the Sixers were at 3... you really think Ainge turns down Jah and 3 for 2? Which, of course, makes it more annoying they didn't just trade Okafor for the Brooklyn pick, but not surprising Hinkie was not allowed to pull the trigger. It was probably at that point Hinkie started his resignation letter.

The Sixers can't trade jah and 3 for the second pick...that's a ton of loot for Ingram.

Jah and 3 for Ingram?

That's ridiculous.

you have to realize that we are not in a position of power when it comes to the trade of one of our bigs. It is inevitable at this point that one of them will be traded. Its just a matter of when and for what; with the latter being a bit less than you expected. Teams know we have to move one of them because to do anything else is doing them a disservice at the very least. Noel as come out and said he wants to play the 5. Jah probably feels the same way. Embiid cannot play the 4. So there you have it. People need to brace themselves for the let down of what we will get for them. The stockpile strategy has backfired because none of these dudes truly flourish next to each other and it just creates this **** combination in which no one gets better.

Anyone who wants Noel or Okafor will be competing with at least 10 teams for them. It doesn't matter that the Sixers are in a position of needing to trade one of them.

When a team gets really hamstrung is when a player either has a no trade clause, and only will accept trades to specific teams, or if he is an impending free agent and refuses to sign an extension.

Regardless, you don't trade a 20 year old big man with star potential, AND the 3rd pick in the draft for a prospect that has a similar talent level.

For Simmons? Sure, but I don't see anyone accepting that deal.

I'm not necessarily advocating it, rather just stating that even if the Sixers don't land in the top 2, there's still a chance they could get up there.

For the record though, Jah or Noel and 3 might even be enough to rip 1 away from Boston if they aren't completely sold on Simmons.

Boston is the team that is hamstrung right now. They have to have consolidation trades to manage their picks. They have to sell.

I'm still partial to Ingram but if we don't get one of the top two picks, I'm going to blame it on BC… Just because I'm full of bitterness and hate.
“This may be one of the best jobs in basketball right now,” Colangelo said at a press conference introducing him as the new GM of the 76ers after Sam Hinkie resigned.
