In the end, he is far from playing NBA games, and the fact that the bigs class is so deep, both in the Draft and in FA and via trades, hurts his stock, he is a guy that plays with good energy and like to shoot, but he is far from a shooter, and lacks skills and understanding of the game otherwise, already 19, and like you said a weak lower body.
Are you taking him ahead of Cornelie? a guy with similar size that has shown the ability to actually play in the French league? why? it's not like Maker's physical profile, other than his size, is that intriguing, the guy is not an elite athlete.
I dont have enough access to intls, but I do get tanagers sports and tuned into as ton of prep ball this season. Games loaded with legit future lotto picks (josh Jackson , miles bridges, ayton) , and maker stood out as an elite level prospect on that level.
I mean, he is ranked #10 in an OUTSTANDING hs class, one that will produce future all stars. scouts have noticed his game maturing after a poor junior season, I'm sure gms have too. Still doubt he gets cleared by the leagur
