"[Stevens] kept saying, 'Look, this is ours. We’re going to win it,'" said Celtics point guard Isaiah Thomas,

Added Thomas: "[Stevens] showed more emotion than usual."

And maybe that belief is what inspired Stevens to provide a little extra fire at the end of the game.

"Of course [Stevens] was fired up. At the end of the game, he was fired up," Bradley said. "We were all fired up. We all wanted to come in here and get a win. I feel like a lot of teams might come in here and just play hard and hope to win. We knew we were gonna win since the beginning of the game. You don’t understand, in the timeout, we were telling each other, like, we’re gonna win this game, the entire game."

But asked if the magnitude of the opponent suggested any more progress than usual, Stevens closed his media session by offering, "Progress is not in the result. The progress was in the poise."

http://espn.go.com/blog/boston/celtics/post/_/id/4722648/celtics-find-long-missing-poise-in-statement-win-over-warriors

could coach Stevens give Erica some tips on how to get this team to fight, motivate and be as resilient as his team. Good lord just reading that inspired me more than anything we've seen, heared or quoted by Hoestra.

I have no problem with the 6th seed. Boston is a very dangerous team with an excellent head coach. atlanta is also dangerous. charlotte is very inexperienced but could be dangerous too. we could probably guarantee ourselves the 6th seed. Tuesday is a must win for the 3rd seed imo

Guys we're back in the playoffs it's a nice feeling anything can happen. I'm excited to see what this team is gonna be made of.

Also can't wait for the famous Road To 16 Wins thread to be resurrected.

The Heat plans to fill its two open roster spots between April 9 and 13, once it’s assured of not passing the tax threshold.

The Heat has been strongly looking at one signing one established player and one developmental project, though the thought of signing two developmental players hasn’t been ruled out.

We’re told Miami has been giving legitimate thought to ex-Heat forward Dorell Wright, back from playing in China, but he’s one of several on Miami’s list. The Heat also is considering D-League point guard Briante Weber but has not given him a commitment.

how do we hardly play McRob & Green past few months but then bring in players who haven't played here all season for a playoff run?! I don't understand this logic. Let's put some faith into players that are here already, much like we had to do w/ Deng & Winslow when Bosh was out & maybe these same players may gain some well needed confidence.

Hoestra must learn to get the most out of his players just for the sake of motivation.....instead of resulting form desperation.

Wtf is John Lucas going to provide for us? And some Rook from d-league this late into the season. I'm not even going to mention Wright because that ship sailed aloong a*s time ago. I like this team and who we have. Let's put some trust and faith into what we got. Makes no sense bringing in new players when our existing players are still learning to play w/ one another.

They won't play, we're just adding them to fill out our roster so we have 15 guys instead of only 13. We lose nothing by doing it.

John Lucas the Turd will help us win a playoff game . . .

Spoiler:
by providing much-needed body heat on the bench when the Celtics turn the AC down to 30 degrees in the Garden like they did in 2012.

Your childish changing of Spoelstra's name and continual whinging is getting tiresome.

McRoberts has proven that he isn't really worth a roster spot. He has lost all pretence of confidence in his shot.

Green has played plenty and we know exactly what we have with him and McRoberts.

We need some extra bodies at least for training against and bringing in young potential to look at before next year seems sensible to me.

What type of player do you think we fill the roster out with. People with the talent of Beasley just aren't available - oh yeah, he's not good enough for you either is he?
I remember when the Dolphins were perennial contenders

Josh hasn't played like himself since his Hornets days, and as much as I like the reincarnation of Michael Beasley we're not oblivious to the fact that he's been disappointing.

You can never have too many bodies it does us no harm, especially when it's a 3point sniper in Dorell Wright who knows our culture, system, and can play multiple positions.

Webber is a good developmental project possibly a Patrick Beverly.

John Lucas on the other hand can stay the fk away.

Give me Dorell and Briante. Who knows maybe Dorell and hit some 3s and Briante may turn out to be another surprising player. I hope we don't bring in Lucas and idk who else there is honestly.

Dorell Wright is only 30yo and hasn't generated much interest around the league. He is a 36% career 3pt shooter and while he can hit the long range shot at times, he is not James Jones. He is more in line with Luol Deng as a 3pt shooter IMO. His game from 3ft out to the 3pt line is BAD so he won't contribute much else. He is a long 6'8 however (long ago some fans predicted him growing to 7'0 by now ) and can play some decent defense using his length. A very poor's man 3&D player basically. Definitely a depth signing only with Deng, JJ, Winslow and Green getting minutes in front of him.

Also, with Wade and Dragic sitting lately, it exposed a depth issue in our backcourt, namely PG. I know TJ should be back soon but we just can't rely on the fact that he is going to be healthy going into the playoffs and what if J-Rich struggles?. The main question is if Briante is ready to assume some of those minutes in a playoff game if his number is called OR do we sign a veteran like John Lucas III who has been there before. My preference would be Briante but I wouldn't write off the Lucas possibility.

I havent seen Weber play in the D-League, but if he showed future potential then I am all for bringing him in. I knew we were patiently waiting for Joe Johnson, but man i wish we also made room for David Lee as well
