Shelvin Mack has been good enough for them to slide their own guys over to the bench.

Jeez, this D'Angelo Russell thing is bad. It's one thing to break the bro code, but to do it to a teammate? Wow. Guess this means they'll be trading him to us for Jorge next year. :D

I'm rooting for the Jazz, lets beat the Warriors!

Looks like the no.2 pick is more important than the slumping SwaggyP.

19 shots is more than he's taken in his entire career as a Hornet.

If you're counting, he's 3-15 in the NBA

Boston is positioned for a run of dominance. They have a strong team, great young coach, cap space, a cache of picks, and that Nets pick. I think Durant will give them a serious look.

If the Kings want to trade Cousins, he could end up there.

I don't think I've seen this posted here. Ammo touches on the lack of cohesiveness and chemistry on those particular Bobcats teams among other stuff.

was very excited about this one. you would imagine that he's sitting somewhere at home and chugging beers every day. this shows the potential of Redick's podcast. he might get guys which are wary of media exposure just because he's a peer.

Yeah their rebuilding phase is over. They're going to do something big with the Nets pick.

Minnesota won in OT in Golden State in what has to be the upset of the season. They had to beat the Warriors and the refs. They went to video review to overturn a block call on Steph Curry in regulation. I have never seen them go and review an already called charge or block call in my life. NEVER!

A tad torn on the Hinkie thing. Part of me thinks he was just a guy in the rain, holding up an umbrella and waiting for lightning to strike (which takes no real strategy at all), while I also see an outside-looking-in pragmatist that had the balls to commit to a strategy no one else would. In the end, I think he may have just been the wrong guy for the job - he seemed talented at black-and-white asset gathering, but was never a communicator, nor a team/culture builder. I think "the process" may have had a longer lifespan if his basketball mind was as good as his analytical mind.

Finally getting a chance to listen to this podcast. I wish the entire thing was about the 2006-2008 Bobcats.

Reading between the lines, I think maybe Gerald Wallace perhaps wasn't quick to embrace Ammo, because they were both small forwards, Ammo probably getting too much hype, Wallace looking for long term deal.

"every guy the year before was supposed to be the guy" - referring to all the young players in Charlotte (Okafor, Felton, May, Wallace etc...)

I guess that's one area where Bernie failed, which was putting together some vets that could help lead those early young players. Man, our franchise really was a trainwreck under Robert Johnson and Bernie and into the Sam Vincent and Larry Brown years.

3 coaches in 3 years, says he hit rookie wall in 1st year, partly due to diabetes. 2nd year the plan was for him to be the 2nd unit scorer, which he embraced and felt was a good role. and he actually looked decent in preseason that year before tearing ACL. 3rd year, coming back from injury, playing for Larry Brown, who Ammo says jokingly "didnt really care for skinny white kids on the wing".

I'll always fondly remember him lighting up Bowen for 28 or something. Jacking up ridiculous shots.

EDIT:

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/11/16/AR2006111600028.html

"He is a basketball junkie," Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said. "He's a scoring machine. He's a fantastic young talent."

Much of Morrison's night came against Spurs forward Bruce Bowen, who has three straight NBA All-Defensive first team honors.

Man, what a waste.

The ACL tear is what ruined Morrison. He already had shaky confidence, trying to come back from such a serious injury while playing for Larry Brown doomed him. If he had never tore his ACL I wonder what he would have become.
